Everything sounds good on earphones. The reality begins when we 'output' these multi effects to the economical range of combos like the Marshall MG15 we used to play before we bought these processors. A great and informative vdo, properly shot and edited as well.

Thanks for this comprehensive video. Quick question: I noticed that when a pedal is simulating one from Boss, Valeton doesn't mention it. I wonder why that is.

Going off the text style, control scheme and similar graphic design to the other two Marshall inspired drive pedals, I am very certain that the Master OD is based on the Marshall Drivemaster. SM Dist has got to be a Boss DS-1 but I doubt that it gets as harsh as a real one can.

I actually think you are spot on. I actually thought that the SM Dis was the DS-1 when whaching the premier, & my thumbnail actually has a DS-1 on it lol. Thanks for the heads up.

Thanks for your review of over drives on the V Gp 200. I just bought that pedalboard yesterday and I'm waiting for it. Honestly, what do you think of the Valeton GP 200? I had been listening to reviews and opinions on the web for almost a month, I decided on it and "coincidentally" I started receiving videos against it. I don't know what to do anymore, these technologies drive me crazy, it seems like they are all great but they also have diabolical cons. Tell me something to cheer me up, I'm nervous - I just want to record happily on my DAB, occasionally play live in small venues with my friends and do my studies at home

Please don't worry about this at all. It is a very good unit. More than enough good usable sounds. You will definitely find sounds that you like & are usable. You might not like all of the factory presets, so then just make your own. Not every sound is awesome, but with all of the different amps, & effects, you will definitely find some sounds that you can use. I love mine. So the Valeton is an interface when you downloaded the ASIO VALETON DRIVER so why do you need another Interface with your DAW, do I need to buy another, my Scarlet took a dump I just bought the Valeton and a Headrush 112

I already had another interface. The Valeton does work as a interface yes, but no mic input for my voiceovers. If you are just doing Guitar, you can just use the Valeton for an interface. If you want to record 3 or more tracks at once, like I am with the left & right output to serprate tracks, & 1 vocal mic, you will need a larger interface like me

I'm guessing you were not going for a metal distortion tone hence why you used that amp. I would like to see more metal type distortion combo examples, I got some decent tones but yet to find the one..

I was actually using a clean amp Soni could showcase what the Distortion/Overdrives sounded like on their own. If I was to use a high gain amp, it would not give a accurate depiction of what the Distortion/Overdrive sounds like. I just got this unit last week. My connection is just guitar to gp200 to tube amp in 4 cables method. Do you mind to share, what is the best connection to get the best Roaring without being too muffled, i had tried a few from the manual, it seems that guitar to gp200 to front of tube amp is the worse. For the rest . If i off the amp module my choice if modern metal is zeroed, if i off the cab, it seems like the tone is hiding behind the speaker😢. Am still exploring but would appreciate if you have already got some better result. Open and not sounding digital.

I have not used this unit with a Tube or non tube amp of any kind. I have been using it as a stand alone guitar rig with in ear monitors. So, unfortunately I would not be the best person to ask about that, because at this point, I don't own a Guitar amp with the exception of my battery powered NUX practice amp. One thing I can say for sure is, if going into a amp, turn of the amp sim, & cab sim blocks for sure. If you don't, you would be putting a amp, into a amp, & a cab into a cab. Just use this unit for the effects. Amp & cab sims are for when recording direct, or playing live ampless with in ear monitors. I hope this helps. I own the NUX MIGHTY SPACE it’s awesome I use it busking fully rechargeable and connects to Amp on phone that controls sooo much But can you give us a run down of your signal chain how you get great sound to do this video

Unfortunately no, you can only use 1 effect per effect block. So, 1 distortion, 1 Reverb, 1 delay, 1 modulation ect. However you can run a amp block with a high gain amp, & put a distortion effect in front of it. It also has an effects loop, so you could use one of the distortion effects in the unit, & plug in a physical distortion petal into the effects loop as well. I hope this helps. The "PRE" block has a limited selection of overdrives, mostly just the clean boosts though. So teeeechnically you can, but in a very limited capacity. Edit: The "PRE" block has Micro Boost, AC Boost, B-Boost, P-Boost, 14 Boost, FAT BB, and Boost. So yeah, really only the boosts, although a couple have a slightly overdriven quality.

As per the explanation in the beginning of the video where I explain my signal chain. For the Amp sim, I USED the Fender 59 Bassman sim on the Normal channel, with the corresponding Fender Piggyback Bassman 2x12 cab

Sucks that my favorite actual pedal (Rat) is, in my opinion, the worst sounding one in the list. I have a Rat running through the effects loop just so I can use it lol

Sorry but couldn’t get through the video, riff waaayyyy too long in between pedals, that solo at the end was so annoying. Thanks for the effort but not interested on your skills but rather different sound of distortions.
