I’m 74 now. I’ve had a great life all things considered. I’ve lived, loved greatly, fought with honor, tried to be my best in all things. My wife passed away. I’m tired now. I feel Valhalla calling me to join my long gone friends. No sadness in my passing. I’ve carried my torch and it’s time to pass it along. I just need a good person to take it up.
I did two tours in Iraq and still wasn't taken to the great hall. It's how I wanted to go. Dying in battle is my greatest dream. I feel you old man...I do.
It gladdens me to know that Odin prepares for a feast Soon I shall be drinking ale from curved horns This hero that comes into Valhalla does not lament his death I shall not enter Odin's hall with fear The Aesir will welcome me My death comes without apology And I welcome the Valkyries to summon me home
I love this tune I have never heard a more dominant powerful and proud song about Vikings I am an American Mexican by heritage this tune is definitely a ear catcher I truly give props to the makers of this song a true masterpiece in my music collection (THANK YOU!!!!). ☠☠☠☠☠

Lyrics: Ships on vigor of the waves are skimming Barren summits to the verdant plains Each horizon is a new beginning Rise and reign Far from the fjords and the ice cold currents Ravens soar over new frontiers Songs and sagas of a fate determined Shields and spears Vows of favor or the thrill of plunder Pull together for the clan and kin Clank of hammers and the crash of thunder Pound within Oh-ho-oh The echoes of eternity Oh-ho-oh Valhalla calling me Oh-ho-oh To pluck the strings of destiny Oh-ho-oh Valhalla calling me Valhalla calling me Sails a' swaying on the crimson rivers Blood and glory in the fighting fields Shields a' shattered into splintered timbers Iron and steel Fires are rising and the bells are ringing Glory take us into Odin's halls Golden glimmer and the sound of singing Asgard's call Oh-ho-oh The echoes of eternity Oh-ho-oh Valhalla calling me Oh-ho-oh To pluck the strings of destiny Oh-ho-oh Valhalla calling me Valhalla calling me Wind and the waves will carry me Wind and the waves will set me free Wind and the waves will carry me Wind and the waves will set me free Oh-ho-oh The echoes of eternity Oh-ho-oh Valhalla calling me Oh-ho-oh To pluck the strings of destiny Oh-ho-oh Valhalla calling me Valhalla calling me
I first heard this song about 6 months ago something like that and I don't know what happens inside me but every time I listen to it I just feel completely at peace at home like this should be my death song because this song describes me perfectly and how I feel about death
@@kitwayne4891 It's like being on a speedboat or a wave-skimmer, but you're going across the waves instead of with them (against the current/grain) but you're going so fast that you're skimming along like a skipping stone. That longboat was hauling *@$$.*
In my 61 years this is the first time I had to feel the swedish North land ansesters of my mother and the native American of her's set my own blood to stir to life and to fly with the Eagle and the Raven listening to this song
This you can invision being sang as a battle cry sword in hand sheild in another , conflict about happen , heavens open up thunder pounds before blood stains the ground , rise an reign
Groups of Vikings raided the Germanic lands, others were known to have fought the Cossacks. Some had traveled to the Mediterranean Sea and fought many of the native people. Far from the fjords indeed.
What is this? Gavin Dunne gave the Lyrics to each of his videos in the description at the latest. He deserve more clicks, he´s such a great songwriter and singer. Sorry, this makes me sad.
I see, I never did think this video would get so many views in such a short time, but somehow it did, which I am grateful for. But I will take this into consideration and do that for my upcoming videos after new years 😊
Good song but these songs should not be sung in english, removes the depth that they have. The real sound is the sound of the nordics. In those languages you will get goosebumps while listening to the music of the vikings.
