for those that don't know, on the stairs outside you'll see a wooden wall, break it and you'll find a mini dverger hideout beneath the queen's entrance! an even better spot (imo) to build a potential boss base
Right, it is behind the wooden wall. It is 4 rooms I think with good spaces for beds and crafting tables. I found a few dverger tankards in it and mead barrels in mine.
I turned this area into a Tavern when I accidently found it after gjall attacked (saw those 3 beer barrels beneath the stairs). I left most of it intact and it's now just decoration for my pub.
@@mikeyoung9810my thought exactly when I accidentally fell down there due to mobs activated a trap (and me), and the top floor tile broke and I fell down to what I thought at first was an empty room
The 5th method does still work but she does leave and you have to go out and re-aggro her to get her to come back. When she comes back you start up the demolisher again. I watched the speedrunner, Nick Rawcliffe, finish her off this way last weekend. Takes longer but for a speedrunner with no magic and weak armour it does still work. He re-aggroed her by throwing the harpoon out in different directions and threw a spear at the ground. She is drawn back by just the noise.
Awesome vid, man. Extremely comprehensive, yet the script was straightforwward. Clever tips on using wisp torches, and also on making a juicy hybrid setup. You could also play around with "dodge-counters" or doing a dodge-roll and attack animation at the same time. It increases dps by a landslide, especially when paired with the secondary attack of the sword.
This video is brilliant. Can't believe you don't have more views. Hopefully this helps me and my buddies down her. We tried the other night and with three of us she scaled up pretty hard. Once we died a couple times the adds started stacking up and corpse runs in the mist sucked. The lights should be a huge help!
@@FacundoColombier Probably talking about corpse runs inside a dungeon filled with a boss and numerous adds that has the mist spread mostly throughout it lol.
On your hybrid kill, your damage slowed way down when you stopped using bombs on her. Fire damage over time stacks, and if you get her standing on the fire puddle, get her on fire from the bomb AND on fire from the fireball staff, that's why your damage flew in the first half of the fight.
yeh and ooze is so common in the swamp.. i would of saved myself so much trouble early on using them in the plains... assuming they are effective there @@Cuved13
If you play around the entrance of the arena you can use the hammer through the wall to take care of her easy. She will run away after a while, her AI bugs out. You can wail on her for a good 5 - 6 combos before her she burrows and the fight continues. Rinse and repeat. Easy fight.
This one quickly turned into my groups favorite boss in this game. We had 2 people with crossbows and I was the mage with all staves. Prob the best combination we could've done since fire was demolishing her. 🎉
We're fighting the queen out in the Black Forest. Somehow we managed her to glitch through the walls in the middle of the fight. We were searching for her inside and couldn't find her. So we left the building, only to just find her outside. We walked to the nearby forest and were fought in the sun.^^
Really nice summary. My friends and I went in as a 3-man team with set roles. It did NOT go according to plan. At some point the queen ended up outside the arena in the overworld. I have screenshots. Shit was wild.
This boss is made to test you unlike the previous five have. With magic, its honestly not that difficult, I downed her solo three times. If you want to go in melee, its a serious challenge you need to time everything right all the way until the end of the fight, so much weapon switching and unique key strokes theres just a lot of room for error in the intensity of the fight.
When I see the first three strategies, I think that the developers intended to play valheim as a hybrid mage/melee fighter, which kind of is logical because magic is available so late but also very interesting of a concept. But its also the hardest playstyle too, so going one-sided is safer but takes longer.
Great channel! Found your vids after defeating Bonemass on my own and dying like 10 times in the proccess. Related to the queen, When you first walked through that small place at the entrance to the citadel, I immediately thought of the last method. Learned alot from your vids. Thank you, master! 🙇
Last method still works but after 5-6 hit the queen leaves. Each time you need to go find her and gain aggro. Also spawns seekers often even without building torches. If you aggro the queen and immediately run to spot and she happens to spawn seekers, you can cheese the seekers same way too.
I used a different helmet along with using 1 health food with a magic setup, allows you to make more mistakes, might not deal as much dps, but it still works just the same. In other words, hybrid is what I used, but I mostly used magic.
My strategy was: exactly how u did with the wisp torches. And had my friend be the melee tank close up to the queen while i used the magic weapons to aid him.
We did a 5 man run on this. Nothing fancy, just used tons of ice and fire arrows and a lot of running lmao. The hammer aoe is fun to use against the little critters too. Took about 30mins to finish as we were messing around while laughing and running all over the boss room.
Nice vid, the bonemass method is even better now with block combos since you can just full combo every time for full damage with 3x special. Fastest complete for me so far has been 4 minutes
Great Vids... Did you notice the secret room right beneath you? MyQueen base had a secret door on the way up the stairs Barrels of meed and tables and lanterns intact.
You can cheese her by sitting in the entrance part and just poking out and tossing fireballs at her and eventually she bugs out and will sit on the side of the entrance and just let you attack her for a bit. She still spawns seekers you have to kill but it's an easy kill.
The best method, the Cheese. You can bait the queen to the front zone of the dungeon which she can not break, and use the demolisher to deal large amounts of damage while never being able to get hit.
Would you consider doing a series, similar to the boss fights series, that covered practices/strategies/tactics for the most difficult creatures in each biome?
I just lured her to the front entrance and cheesed the fight at the unbreakable area near the entrance. You can stab her through the opening for 200+ damage with Mist-walker
ROFL 1:36 "may have gone overboard with this" ahhh yes I too suffer from that disability sir ;D *edit:* What a phenomenal guide my man, well done, subbed! I had the dream of doing a deathless run, and ALMOST made it back when Moder was endgame boss. I just came back and now this boss looks intimidating as heck, but I have confidence after watching your vid "dissecting" her xD
it really is a shame that they havent implemented a magic system earlier than mistlands. it wouldve been cool to see ancient bark wands/staffs and battlemage chain male.
Excellent vid. What's the status of the "cheese"method one year on? My solo character is a pretty squishy bow centric setup. Has no real melee weapon skills beyond polearms. TIA
They won't fix it. Devs know the game is hard so they leave cheese in and then force you to use it. That's why parry isn't fixed. That's why bunker under Elder isn't fixed. That's why AoE through walls isn't fixed.
This is a great video allround. however, i have my doubts with using magic weapons on boss. It barely does any damage during boss fight if your magic skill is low. I guess if you are a dodge and block master you can fight without much health and stamina but i wouldn't recommend the mage build for beginners.
Yagluth was one of the easiest for me, but me and my friend massively overprepared, we had maxed blackmetal and maxed weapons, with best possible 2 hp and 1 stamina food. Also had 2 bonemass and the wine for fire res. We were taking like from 5 to maximum 15 dmg per hit and we both had over 160hp so our natural regen was almost outhealing yagluth dmg. But the queen was a lot more fun as she didnt die in like 5 minutes.
It seems to up the spawn inside withe more players. I know for our duo it seemed much busier than for one. That maybe just be my imagination when running for my life.
@@glens-games I noticed you were at 47, then went to 48 with the sword. Wish I new what the magic was, I had it at 53 and seekers did not die with two hits. Did something change? This game is set to normal settings.
I recomend the Mistwalker strategy, because magic for me just is not the right choice. Mistwalker does a lot of physical damage, slash in her tail, and also her weakness is frost damage Although Sof is better for the boss herself than Soe, because she is resistant to fire, and weak to frost. And for your skill, Bonemass is the best choice by far
