Pretty straightforward, its a transport hub (Portal Hub) thats designed to house the portals you're going to need... I wanted to do something special with it though and make it kind of wonderous/magical, the part in Harry Potter where they head to the Wizarding World Transport hub is something that was stuck in my head for some reason as I was doing this one (the vibe of that) - Hope you enjoy the commentary and build! ;-)

I agree with you, theres so many good builds and possibilities that people arent aware of - the build system is brilliant in the game aswell, seems simple at first but its actually really deep when you start mucking around with ideas... Thanks for watching Graham...

My portal hub has always been two portals. One is unnamed, so any time I build a portal, it connects to that one. If the newly built portal is in a permanent installation, I choose a name for it. After walking through it (before renaming), I change the name of the named portal at my "portal hub" to the newly selected name. Then I go back through to the new portal and name it too. Now my unnamed portal is freed up, and I have a new portal address. My portal address book is just the map. Every base has a house symbol and the same name as its portal. The named portal at my hub lets out pointing directly at a wall of chests for depositing items. It's convenient enough that I always remember to name new portals for that benefit.

I really love the technique, nice and organised with the clear naming and using the map as your address book etc plus convenience is exactly what you want with portals is'nt it. For me I built this in my first world/seed (I have two) and I had no idea about portals, mine ended up in a ridiculous mess, I just daisy chained them around to the point I would have to go through 2 or 3 to get a specific location and remember the route eg. go through riverbase to mountain then mountain to main base etc lol ---- nice and organised is what i wanted hence the necessity for the hub in the end, If Id done it your way it would saved me alot of time!! :-D Thanks for watching btw!
