I'm no decorator but pretty pleased with my bbq: raise ground, place campfire, support campfire with floor piece, support floor piece with 4 legs (1m). Flattening ground now should keep the structure intact. Box it in however you like. Put an iron roster on it, maybe even a cooking station. Or item stands if you're not really cooking on it. :-)
Great video - but for anyone tempted to spawn other types of mushrooms (other than red, yellow and blue), please don't, especially the one marked as glowing - you will NOT be able to get rid of it without the use of mods. if you want to see what it looks like (huge, avatar size mushroom that glows) then do it in an experimental world where you can fluff things up and not care! (and don't do what I did and spawn it in the middle of my house....much swearing ensued!)
I definitely did the same thing. If one is wanting to use glitchy spawns in a world they want to keep, find and duplicate the save file and play around as needed to figure out how/where to spawn difficult items. The giant skull is especially fun (can't remember the item name though).
I like raising my fermenters up a halfblock, and using that half-door technique to cover some chests with the materials in one, and the produce in the other.
Your stone floors wouldn't look so bad if you rotated them as you placed a row each time. Make sure when you start the next row to offset it again before continuing that pattern.
