Hi Fahad...I am not sure what you mean by "validate quality". Usually the team that is working on a task or deliverable verifies the quality of their deliverable before asking the sponsor to sign off. In effect, that team would have just done Quality Control on their own deliverable. Then, the sponsor's team will inspect the deliverable to assess if it meets the specifications in the requirements document. What they are doing is called Validate Scope. We validate scope against the requirements specifications. We Control Quality by measuring against quality metrics, which might include measures such as "how many times out of 1000 that the deliverable came in between the upper and lower tolerance". Quality is about reliability, while Scope is about satisfying specifications. Scope is validated mostly by testing, Quality is measured for reliability and consistency and is controlled by taking a reading of how reliable it is and then corrected in Quality Assurance via changes.
