@@splahes5051 she talked about it on H3 podcast i think? She was abused by her stepfather (if I remember correctly) when she was young. She pretty much joined the navy out of high school to get away from her family. The only family she’s close to is her bro and they have a good relationship as far as I remember

Wow, rae saying her mom never taught her their native tounge bc she never wanted her & her sis to struggle with english like she did 😩 .... In my household it was different.... I couldn't speak english what so ever bc my dad always said we were bound to learn it from school, friends & just life bc we were born here. & i 100% thank him.

Sige na means 'come on' not exactly please but interchangeable depending on the person you're talking too. Sige na is mostly used when you're in a friendly relationship with someone.

I'm a Filipino born in the UK and unfortunately I wasn't taught Tagalog growing up, so it's rather embarrassing and upsetting when I met other Filipinos and they assume I can speak the tongue. Parents were too busy working and stuff to teach us Tagalog, so I'm looking for good sources learning the language.
