The change of hosts had to do with it appearing that I wasn’t contributing as much because with this subject because in truth I am afraid to. I don’t want to offend anyone very sensitive because I misspoke about their beliefs. Vivian is far more knowledgeable than I am, so Achara and I talked about it and it just made more sense to have Vivian instead of me. I can talk about film and entertainment with more ease, even if I know someone won’t like my opinion. Religion is a challenge for me because even if I mean well, I might hurt someone’s feelings. I do my best to be honest and transparent, but it can feel like I’m walking around land mines with this particular topic. I was contributing to making the videos less fun as a result. So I gracefully bowed out.

Just remember the meaning of story format (kathayuktam). When the narrator says Sagar has 60000 sons 4:02, it is mentioned to add a poetic beauty. In previous times, people were believed to be their king’s children. This is how he had this many sons. P.S. - Kathayuktam does not mean lying, as it is correctly said it is an embellishment, to add a kind of beauty in the stories.

This episode is special, Ganga literally is the heart of Bharat, millions of people's livelihood depends on it, and it's all because of hard of Bahirat and thousands of people spending their entire life on this one project, even today in Tamilnadu at least if some make an impossible effort, we call it Bahiratha effort.

It's similar happened like gandhari had 100 sons in mahabharat ,Raja Sagar had two wifes but he didn't have any son then he went to Himalayas and Brahma's son gave him boon that one wife will have arrogant 60000 sons and other wife will have 1 son who is will be his family lineage then his one wife gave birth to lifeless flesh then they separated it and putted on pot with ghee after two years babies were born scientifically this refers to stem cell technology, and test tube babies

But since you say you have read Ramayan in its entirety, so you'd have read Kishkindha Kand, it was Sarga 43 I think, and then in Yuddha kand, Sarga 22 I think, where the Ram Setu is mentioned and the location of Lanka in other Sarga as well. So, can you point out in which Kand and Sarga Sri Lanka can be the Ravana's capital. Also what dating would you give because before the Younger Dryas Event, present day Sri Lanka was already connected to the mainland. See the oceanography and topography data.

Respect the work of writers of this story by calling it as pure mythology because the drama , creativity , imaginations, culture etc.. needs to be credited to the writers of this story . Do not insult the human intelligence and reality by calling it as a part of human history , it is not ! I have read Ramayana. Its veeeery big and has lots of Embellishments. I knew there is something hidden behind these heavy Embellishments , we must try to understand the story underneath instead of unnecessary dissection of how it happened cuz it looks scientifically impossible whereas we need to find the message underneath as this story has been told for thousand and thousands of years hence extra exaggeration is an obvious things. Btw, all the cities, Towns, tribes, rivers, forests mentioned in Ramayana are still existing exactly the way they were explained in Ramayana that shows its authenticity.

This is not a true story king/sage bhagirath bring ganga water from heaven for after death ritual for his ancestors whiiwere killed by curse by great sage so Bhagirath get boon after completing Great Penance and he ask for Goddess Ganga water to come on earth and Bramha said bhagirath to do penance for Lord Shiva as he will took Ganga water flow Direct in his big hairs bcz water cannot flow Directly from heaven to earth and then bhagirath bring ganga river which where he wish to bring

And if this seems fake, there is actual evidence of something similar that Chola kings did to kaveri river, the river was guided and expanded with dams and creating new rivers for it, creating rich enviornment for rice fields ,Sri rangam the largest hindu temple where worship is still going on is situated on a artifical island in kaveri

They didn't skip anything on Panchayat - it's just that it usually took them about a day to post Panchayat episodes, but the final is taking longer. Maybe it's because it's a 50 min episode so it takes longer to edit? Either way, you don't have to order them like they are your servants, they are people too with their own lives to live

hmm..I kinda understand it. Still..a part of my excitement for watching this series is journeying through the text with you particularly. I wanted to see u (Jaby) in particular learn abt it. Honestly, Cricket and this are the only parts left for u to understand us completely and I was excited for this. There is no doubt that Ramayan and Mahabharat are true history but its embellishment part was created just for the sake of some learnings! A little bit of fantasizing and shining it up you know! And that's why some people say it's a mythology.
