This is a job I’m scared about… You seem pretty good at it though so I’ll drop mine off for you to do. Think of it as free valve-school! I won’t even charge you 😄
The key to this is just take your time and keep checking with the feelers. people read to much in to this . Its not that scary if you follow the steps and dont miss anyone of the steps. Most mauals will guide you through. The best manuals are the full workshop manuals will give you a great guide. Ebay .
Yeah I seem to remember the service manual way of checking the valves was confusing, I believe they say do it that way to save time, instead of having each cam lobe pointing directly up, they are put in a position so that you can check multiple valves at once and save a small amount of time, instead of having to turn each one, I think, anyway.
oh yeah, and good job btw, doing this job is a massive head ache, you didn't even mention the bits about the engine mounting bolts and putting all the fairing back on and routing everything correctly.
Thank you, the bit that stumped me is when you do everything it says the engine seems to be completely opposite, I think the guide is just a bit confusing. Some of the putting it back together is in todays video, although not the fairings as they are still on order.
