This is one of the parts of the show that's really never going to age well. Klaus didn't romantically persue her till she was 18 and his body is 25 sp you could argue that is the age the show treats him as but in current times his behavior is still creepy. Same is true for Damon who made moves on Elena when she was 17 but didn't get get with her till she was 18

I don't think the show encourages being a pedo or Hebo but this is very much why people want supernatural shows like this to take place in college and above and not HS anymore.

He could have done but tbh it wasn’t any of his business and he had a lot more to worry about at the time than her. Stefan also mentioned earlier on why forcing her to turn her emotions back on was a bad idea (when they still thought Elena was sired to Damon) - it would break her. All that flooding back at once without warning. The normal way of doing it was better, which is where one emotion (like anger) creeps in and then the rest follow.

Agreed yes she does bring out the best in him and also makes him a better person. She would have been good for his bad boy persona like Elena was for Damon. I think these two were perfect for each other and should have been able to develope this relationship. Unfortunately they weren't the main main characters in this drama. So therefore they weren't allowed to develope their relationship. It's really too bad as it would have been good!

So the fact that she wants to look beautiful for something that she planned and has had no control of most of her life vampire enough. Heck Damon assaulted and assaulted her and Elena has caused her to almost die and go through so many other very crazy events and near death. Plus she went to the most powerful creature in the world who could literally kill her with a bite stayed through his anger and asked for exactly what she wanted. Plus wanting to be girly or caring about clothes doesn’t make you weak. Caroline is so so much more then that. And being female is not weakness she’s kick ass no matter what clothes she wants or her past time. It’s the little pleasures and she’s a teenager forever. I am glad she got to have this senior moment and be happy when no guy treats her well Amd it’s the world according to Elena. I think her priorities are damn right where they should be and her ability to have happiness and control in the midst of this handling so many different things. Yep, she’s fine
