You ever think about how almost every Castlevania game is about *one guy* fighting through an entire castle of demons to confront the lord of darkness himself? That’s kind of Rip & Tear of you, Konami.
If you ask me, I would say that Castlevania has more things in common with the Dark Souls series, in terms of theming and gameplay wise, but I see where you’re coming from.
Honestly, this kinda blew my mind. Like, castle manifests from mist and there is already a dude brandishing a whip at the gate, like "what's the hurry, chief?" But no, it is because of old drac attack gets stronger by the hour. And the Belmonts always catch him lounging...
@@CCzarMasta56 Take Zero's Chain Rod artwork from MMZ 2, make it red with a fitting hilt and redesigned tip and I think you'd have a decent looking Argent whip
Upon multiple listens, I realize that you're doing stuff in these songs that are unique to you. It isn't just "oh im emulating Gordon or Hulshult or whoever" these songs have their own flair that set them apart from the Doom OST while also obviously being apart of the 'Argent Metal' genre. I personally love what you do with the main synth melody here and with Ludwig.
And the best part is him now just playing the genre ( instead of him 'emulating') is this further solidifies the genre, and honestly, the covers are cool, but I'm excited to see if anything 'original' ends up coming out of Geoff. Hes incredible at this, and each song is further cementing his name up there with creating the genre. This is witnessing musical history. Fuck yes.
Actually it’s currently on his list to do in his community tab. Hollow Knight,Undertale (Sans is specifically shown),witcher,Nier automata, god of war and final fantasy. Are his current list left.
Against all the evil Dracula can conjure. Against all the wickedness that Death can produce, we will send unto them only you. Whip and tear, until it is done.
Infinite loop potential on this mix . Amazeballs . Not only is it soooo good that i can listen to it for more then an hour straight , but the way it starts and ends . Looping it on RU-vid you get a endless loop .
Absolutely phenomenal. When I thought I wanted a doom castlevania crossover, you went above and beyond, giving us all not one, but 2 songs in one epic journey.
Ik I am late but honestly i think Dracula wont be running away. Ik how strong Doom slayer and Dracula are and judging by their respective personalities the two would keep fighting despite all difficulties. Why? Simply cuz one's too angry and one's just too proud and depressed (idk how else to word Drac's personality).
@Adrian Tepes Netflix Drac probably gets rolled, but game Drac might just pose a bigger challenge to the Doomslayer than anything in actual DOOM games. Dude's powered by a god (Satan?), who has a universe's worth of chaos energy to dispense
@@charliemcmillan4561 I agree that Abyss Watchers is his best (so far) in terms of overall composition. There's just something powerful and motivating in this one. If "Rip and Tear" is the father, let "Break and Slay" be the son.
I know I already commented this, but anything from the Ultrakill soundtrack would make for an absolute banger. Specifically Cybergrind or maybe some of the Greed Stage music
Can we pretty please get something westerny? Something from Red Dead, or the Dollar trilogy, or hell even have a go at the Mandalorian theme. I just think that'd be awesome.
Love how this feels a lot like the Eternal version of E1M1! Much like how E1M1 and BFG Division are two of the first things people think of when they hear DOOM, Bloody Tears and Vampire Killer are two of the first things people think of when they hear Castlevania.
"Your ass is grass, Dracula"...... In "SUPER Castlevania IV" , you truly feel like vampire slayer, the controls being perfected, no more stiff movement, now it's just you, and all the demons that want to stop you from exterminating the lord of darkness, you have had enough of Dracula's bs, you have killed him once, but you've been cursed, you reassemble Dracula so you can get rid of that curse, you do manage to respawn him, but you couldn't quite kill him, now in the fourth game in the series, it's time to RIP & TEAR
This song often pops into my autoplay on youtube and I always get lulled into thinking it's an actual song from Doom Eternal until I get a major vibe check from that Bloody Tears synth. You've truly outdone yourself Mr. Geoff.
I loved the Bloody Tears part so much I went to listen to the original, and I almost didn't recognize it because of how much faster it is compared to this version. I think I'll stick with this one, I just wish it was longer 😭
Hey man thanks for the HQ version! I'm super excited to see what's next regarding your comment on "us music makers." I'm proud to announce that I finished a project that I've spent the past three months working on with epic 7 string guitars and nasty synths and basses and synth basses. You've been a huge help and I'm glad to have you to look up to. Thank you!!
I got 1:03 in on my first listen before I ripped my headphones off, threw them on my bed, and yelled "how DARE you... make something that is so f****** good!!" 😲🤘 That is a true story. Just ask my 2 dogs. They were both sleeping and it scared the shit out of them! Obviously, I didn't mean to, but COME ON! This song f***s harder than anything I can think of apart from Mick Gordon's stuff, and that's genuinely the best compliment I can think of for music in this genre! It's so good that it pisses me off... in the best way possible. Seriously, this is a masterpiece, and I can't wait to delve much MUCH deeper into your work. With love and respect 🙏🤘
Geoff, please take a look at the Warhammer´s Adeptus Mechanicus music and some of the Mass Effect music (like the Illusive Man suite that could be remade in the style of the Doom 2016´s "Harbinger")
my most beloved Castlevania Simon's Quest, one of the most underrated Gems of all history of gaming, this sounds great i saw the picture thumbnail before reading the title and i kinda felt that it reminded me of our iconic Simon Belmont despite him wielding a Greatsword :) but was also awesome that had the Morning Star in the other Hand love that my instinct was right
Just got recommended your channel and Bloody Tears is an all time favorite of mine. Immediately clicked the like button and subbed. Keep up the great work! 🔥
I don't know if you've heard of it, but the game Blasphemous has some pretty good tracks. In particular, from the first DLC "The Stir of Dawn" where the themes for the bosses are absolute bangers
Alucard : Belmont, you're diffrent since you came back from hell. You're even more reckless. You can't just shoot a whole trough the castle's gate ... Belmont : I've met a gentleman on Mars. He was on a request of revenge for his rabbit ... Alucard : Mars ? Belmont : Proceed to load the BFG
When i listen to the intro, i'm always imagening the DooM Slayer entering in the battlefield from a fog barely recognizing him, and when the intro is about to end, the slayer uses he's meat hook in slow motion, surprising the demons and piercing he's blade in the head of the mancubus he hooked to, and then he starts ripping and tearing.
Ok this track is amazing as always, however one thing I would change would be that at 2:30 I'd keep that energy up for two more verse then let it mellow out. Like have it at the higher pitch you had at 2:43 but still have that high octane energy for another two verses then turn it somber
Goosebumps listening to this, especially 1:08 I'm sure you get a lot of requests, but please consider Dark Messenger (Kuja's Theme) - from FFIX. I think it would fit this style well.
Hear me out, 3D doom style castlevania where you play as Simon and go through the castle slaughtering all the monsters and bosses until you get to Dracula and kill him too. Story: Kill monsters
When I hear this I like to imagine Simon Belmont wandering through the castle and finding this hellish portal in Dracula's basement (The Abyss from Dawn of Sorrow, Chaotic Realm, you name it), he grips his whip tightly, clenching his teeth and jumping into the demonic realm... And then this starts playing.
You know that moment in the second Season, when someone brings up the appearance of Belmonts and every vampire on Dracula's councel looses their shit? That track would explain why.
What are the odds this gets uploaded the same day I get on a massive Igavania kick? Been listening to all the official versions of these two songs and totally forgot how good fan versions can be until now.
