This is the character design I've been waiting for in an anime! Dark, almost midnight skin and pure white hair. That design along with the opposite (pale skin and pitch black hair) are my favorite character designs.

Fun fact, Luna/Vanitas of the blue moon Japanese voice actor(Romi Park) voiced Temari from Naruto series, Hitsugaya toshiro from Bleach and Edward Elric from Full metal Alchemist.

It's implied that Naenia is the malnomen of Queen Faustina, whose body was broken up by Loki and the other bestia (queen's guards). In that case, the blackened thing might've been part of the Queen's corpse

well you're wrong. i wouldn't necessarily call it black representation but luna literally has pure black skin. she doesn't have another true skincolor that they colored over for mystery, this is just what they look like
