I can't believe it has been so long since the vampire survivors and even inscryption series were released, it feels like they were airing just recently
I don’t comment on RU-vid much, but I’d like to thank you for entertaining us throughout the years. Especially me, my grandma recently passed but you always help cheer me up with your content. Thank you.
You'll probably love the new limit break feature, infinite upgrades to maxed out weapons? Even if the upgrades are small, they add up in the 30 minutes, nevermind the new infinite runs
id love to see more vampie survivors with how much new stuff there is; though i cant even imagine how one would go about unlocking everything without the wiki
Those big, fat enemies in various colours are members of a Japanese mythological race called the oni. Onis are one of the many supernatural beings classified as "Yokai", a word that is now becoming part of the english language as a loanword but which used to be translated as "demon", which is inaccurate because the original Japanese word covers both good and evil entities but "demons" is specifically evil entities. The green flying one is riding a cloud and holding a bag of wind over its head - this is the typical depiction of the Japanese god Fujiin, who is an oni who escaped the underworld, and who causes trouble while not being truly evil. The blue flying oni, on the other hand, has a ring with several small thunder drums on it instead of the wind bag, which is the typical depiction of Raijiin, the Japanese thunder god and Fujiin's brother, and escaped the underworld alongside him.
Inscryption and Vampire Survivors were such amazing series. Along with games like Baba is You and the Witness, they feel like they were just released. Maybe because of the quarantine.
Wooo! Glad you played some more! I actually downloaded the game a couple weeks back and was stunned by how much additional content there was since I watched you play
Just letting you know, if you ever encounter something that feels too grindy to get but want to make some content on it, there's a cheat code system you can unlock (not telling how, Incase you want to find it yourself) that can let you unlock characters or Arcanas, and I think there's also one that gives you money
I’ve always loved this game and all the reverse bullet hells it’s spawned but I have to agree that vampire survivors has always stayed on top as the one with the most depth. The closet one I think is one that’s entered early access relatively recently called scarlet tower that has a bunch of really interesting takes on the genre but even that game doesn’t even come close the giving you the dopamine hit that collecting chests and discovering characters in vampire survivors does
It has been a long time indeed. You seem to not even have the yellow sign yet. You missed out on so much fun (and OP) stuff. Glad to see you return to this game.
If you're looking for a vampire survivors inspired game with a lot of contents I recommend HoloCure, it's a free to play Hololive fangame. There are currently 29 characters in the game, each with unique starting weapon, ability, and upgrades that other characters can't get. There are 15 normal weapons, 19 combined weapons, 29 items. And it's still getting massive updates that add many more characters and items.
you can buy gold eggs for character by character meta progression, 10k gold per 1 egg. im shocked you havent beaten the game, gotten the grimoire upgrades and stuff.... they also added more levels and progression... hell you can even unlock items that upgrade other items that allow you to kill death consistently
I have enjoyed playing this game quite a bit myself I have not played the DLC yet but I did actually want to point one thing out to you. The reaper is not invincible I will leave it to you to figure out how to kill it.
Proud to be Italian and proud of Tyler that has finally understand some italian jokes in this game.... there are a lot. IN BOCCA AL LUPO or if you prefer GOOD LUCK.
Ahh, to be this fresh and unspoilt on vampire survivors. So many things to unlock, so many secrets still to learn. I do worry that youtube is going to die compressing some of the horrible late game builds you can get going.
considering super powered gaming cpus die when ust playing some endgame builds.... i mean, getting all the unions together is enough to damn near brick the game itself.... and dont even mention Gains....
Tbh I would really love to see a miniseries around this, rather than a single lookback video. I get almost as much dopamine watching you play this game as you get playing it
As much as I love Tyler, I don't think I'm going to watch this. I 100%ed the game, seen everything, tried a few dozen builds, and played around with the busted characters. I'm glad with the time it gave me, and save for any future updates, I'm gonna let it sit in my library with pride. But take my like and comment for the algorithm, tyler
Imma be honest, I have no idea why you ever stopped this series. I'm not you, so I'm not gonna make any rude assumptions or anything, but I thought this series was extremely rad and always wanted to see more of what it had to offer :D
@@emmettraymond8058 holy crap, i seriously thought im the only one still playing that game, sad that magic isn't getting recognition even though it in my knowledge the first one.
appreciate the non-spoiler comment you made - it gives the hype for whats to come while respecting both content creator and those viewers who haven't experienced things mentioned yet ^^
I was just rewatching the vampire survivors series when this video dropped. Interesting to see the game with all the improvements this channel has made in the past few months though.
Is there a specific reason you stopped potionomics? I don't want to you to play a game you don't enjoy, ala card shark, but I didn't get that vibe from the game.
Allegedly discontinued it because he became uninterested/indifferent + wasn't voted by the Patreons which further supported said indifference, based on the community post
He's said that it took too long for him to record a single episode AND the views on the series wasn't high enough to give him the motivation to continue it. For example he could record a peglin run in 30-40 mins, and get triple the views, vs a potionomics episode that took him like 3 hours to record, for way less views overall.
5:42 mannnn if you think HE'S horrendous, I highly suggest finding the Leda secret (TWO-STAGE SPOILER below): . . . . . Go down, and down, and down some more on the Gallo Tower map- around 20 or more 'tiles' on the map if I recall correctly. . . . . Eventually the screen will slowly fade to black, the music will fade out, and eerie runes will appear on the side of the screen as you continue your journey downwards. Keep going some more, and you will find a terrifying eldritch abomination of tentacles named Leda. It is very hard to defeat, so I'd recommend avoiding curse and getting some weapons evo'd before you make your trek down there. Once defeated, you even unlock it as a secret character!
yeah, this game rocks. really cool to see the return to it and even cooler to see a manmade map from the devs for once (instead of the typical repeating nonsense. This is really what vampire survivors was missing. now it _really_ feels good to play
15:00: It gives me tanuki vibes. Especially given the other enemies and architecture and stuff with Japanese vibes. 24:20: What's that? I can't hear you over the grating sound effect. Maybe it's just me, but the sound design in Vampire Survivors is just so _painful._ It's one of the main reasons I haven't bought it. If you pick or evolve the wrong weapon, you get to spend the next twenty minutes with bleeding ears.
Been loving how this genre has evolved. It started with a "dopamine bomb" of a game, and now we got interesting strategy based like Brotato or totally weird ones like Gun Car (I think that's the name)
Oh man bro, I really been watching you for years and you’re seriously top tier just overall good guy, hilarious af and you just seem so genuine and I really hope you read this and I alwayss look forward to ur vids and I hope more then anything you’re happy bro👌👌👍👍👍👍
There are a lot of inspired games from Vampire Survivors. I wonder if it’ll get its own genre, like a survivor game or something. Something like how we call Rogue style games roguelikes or lites. One of my favorite Vampire Survivors inspired games is Holocure. The amount of references and dedication put into a fan game is amazing.
I’ve heard people say this could be a slot machine. Can’t disagree.. This game really isn’t even a game, it’s more just a dopamine rush for 30 minutes straight 😂
The last video of this game was when the Bone Zone launched? There is a lot of new content now, it's enough to restart the series for like 3 episodes, I think
I was just kind of recently rewatching your vampire survivors series. I'm so happy it's back. If i had to recommend what to do next. You should either play "the bone zone" since there is a relic there that wasn't there before (i think) Or the new main stage after the Gallo tower. They're both really cool and you can spice things up by playing a new character from the dlc.
Vampire Survivors (and the subsequent challenge run videos you did) were some of the first content I watched on your channel! Incredibly ironic that you would return to it in the exact time frame that I get sucked into one of its many clones XD
Recovery got buffed recently so that it buffs healing from any pickups (Floor chickens more specifically) by 10% for every 0.1 recovery you have from base 0. Because you have the Recovery powerup maxed out, the Floor Chicken’s base healing of 30 is boosted by 50% because you have 0.5 recovery, hence the 45 healing.
