"Anger wants a voice. Voices want to sing. Singers harmonize 'til they can't hear anything." If those lines don't describe social media, I don't know what does.
"I don't wanna live like this, but I don't wanna die" applies so well to my life right now. Plus my one year old is obsessed with music, including my beloved Vampire Weekend ❤
The ending of the song is so uplifting and beautiful. Wish I could listen to an extended demo version where they just go like that for a few more min...
I'm also born in early April 1984. (35yo boomer confirmed.) people say I maybe look like 28yo. Bur Ezra looks like very early 20 or something. is such thing even possible?
I've got a mate yeah, and he's seen Vampire Weekend 257891678 times and he's booked tickets for two of the gigs on their next tour. Amazing. I would describe his as a fan. Nicholas is his name.

Verse 1] We took a vow in summertime Now we find ourselves in late December I believe that New Year's Eve Will be the perfect time for their great surrender But they don't remember [Pre-Chorus] Anger wants a voice, voices wanna sing Singers harmonize 'til they can't hear anything I thought that I was free from all that questionin' But every time a problem ends, another one begins [Chorus] And the stone walls of Harmony Hall bear witness Anybody with a worried mind could never forgive the sight Of wicked snakes inside a place you thought was dignified I don't wanna live like this, but I don't wanna die [Post-Chorus] Ooh, ooh, ooh I don't wanna live like this, but I don't wanna die [Verse 2] Within the halls of power lies a nervous heart that beats Like a Young Pretender's Beneath these velvet gloves I hide The shameful, crooked hands of a moneylender 'Cause I still remember [Pre-Chorus] Anger wants a voice, voices wanna sing Singers harmonize 'til they can't hear anything I thought that I was free from all that questionin' But every time a problem ends, another one begins [Chorus] And the stone walls of Harmony Hall bear witness Anybody with a worried mind could never forgive the sight Of wicked snakes inside a place you thought was dignified I don't wanna live like this, but I don't wanna die [Post-Chorus] Ooh, ooh, ooh I don't wanna live like this, but I don't wanna die [Instrumental Bridge] [Chorus] And the stone walls of Harmony Hall bear witness Anybody with a worried mind could never forgive the sight Of wicked snakes inside a place you thought was dignified I don't wanna live like this, but I don't wanna die [Post-Chorus] Ooh, ooh, ooh I don't wanna live like this, but I don't wanna die [Chorus] And the stone walls of Harmony Hall bear witness Anybody with a worried mind could never forgive the sight Of wicked snakes inside a place you thought was dignified I don't wanna live like this, but I don't wanna die

I like to think it's about how hate is gaining more and more of a voice and thus more and more popularity, to the point where no one knows what people's real views on the world really are anymore
