Probably the best conversion i've seen...it's a shame to call it "homemade" 'cause you did a pro work!! Functional and rational!! Well done man!! Enjoy It!!
Hi James, great video mate! Just the right amount of visual information and some truly great ideas (like the ceiling net - love it!). I know I'll be coming back to your channel to watch other videos. Thank you!
Amazing build! The floor work, insulation and carpeting is professional. From the video, it looks like that how the NV200 should come out of the factory. 🙌🏾👏🏾🙌🏾👏🏾🙌🏾👏🏾
AWESOME! As I prepare to build out a vehicle, your channel has been a go to for ideas, vision, and instruction, as your creativity, attention to detail, and willingness to share are absolutely incredible and very much appreciated. Thank you!
Your videos have been SUPER useful for me, as I'm in the process of converting our little NV200 too! We're about to do our first trip to test it out (even though it's barely half way finished). Fingers crossed my bed build doesn't fall apart mid trip! :)
Glad you're enjoying the videos, hope your trip away goes well. We did our first trips away long before the van was finished, just couldn't wait to use it!
Wow!!! This is the first compressive conversion video I saw where someone paid attention to insulating the Van. Coordinating the interior with the carpet, even the door pockets speaks volumes for attention to details. The trifold bed is a welcome feature. Could you please include the details or better yet provide link to actual video?
you have great skills very neat and tidy, overall design not my cup of tea but them skillz? you have them. Props to you and hope you enjoy your van for great adventures.
Putting the Aluminium insulation down first actually has the opposite effect. Any heat just conducts straight though. It’s meant to be used on the inside as a vapour barrier, not touching the metal outside.
It all depends on how you use your van, I don't sleep in mine more than 30 nights a year so condensation has been a problem with the methods used. Check out my my recent van build review video, where I do an insulation check: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OdbZVA8h0UE.html
I always wanted to live tiny house or RV. But I can drive .N.E more I'm blind a bit ) so I'm stuck in a district I hate,im still looking for a unit of my dreams...yeh right time to go for a walk in my concrete jungle full of toxic air, im so jealous but happy 4 u.

The quality of the finish and attention to detail is exceptional. Looks less DIY and more like a high end professional build from a company. I am wondering if that passive minimal window ventilation is sufficient to draw out stuffy air and minimize condensation. I am stuck about the decision whether to make a hole for a fan or not.
FANTASTICLY Documented. MANY THANKS. >>quick question>> Im about to embark on a converstion myself When securing the plywood to the ceiling are you drilling into the reflectix? or straight up into the roof? doesnt seem like enough thickness to hold up such large sheets of plywood, but drilling into the roof would provide leakage problems, hence my question :- if you could clear up my confusion i would GREATLY appreciate it. MANY THANKS again for such a well thought out video
Thanks, glad you like the build! I've got a full video on the roof set-up, which show how I attached it, here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-3SnHXMrDhAQ.html
I just got an NV200 myself. Oh boy, do I have a project on my hands.... and I'm nowhere near the craftsman you are. Might just hire a professional, lol.
Awesome 👍🏻👍🏻 Carpet here carpet there carpet everywhere😂😂 And that stoage division under the bed with board 🔥🔥 One question though how r u gonna cook??
Hi James! You conversion is wonderful. A nice and precise work. Love it. I will soon receive a berlingo van XL and this inspire me a lot. In How many times did you finish this conversion? Thanks. Nicolas
You did a great job on your build. I am also undertaking a conversion project and really liked the carpet on the walls. How is it that you attached the carpet to the walls so well?
Cracking job mate. Have you got a vent in it? I needed a roof vent in my last van (transit connect) and will definitely be putting one in my next project (I can't decide whether to go big on a transit custom or stay mid on a Peugeot expert) but whichever it will be vented!
Hi, I haven't got a vent - haven't found the need for one based on how much I sleep int he van, but I've got a video coming out soon which gives more detail on my decision. Cheers, James
Hi Clare, I got the foil bubblewrap insulation from Toolstation and the carpet/adhesive from www.vanliningcarpet.co.uk/. I've got an insulation video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bF8xk3fDJb8.html and a carpeting video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-0DuEBg1Gsro.html with links to the products in the descriptions 🙂
Hi Ethan, yes - I featured it briefly at 1:35 in my Van Essentials video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-egm-4HUN44M.html. The build has taken me just over a year, but I've been working slowly on days off/holidays etc.
