Over the past few years I have slowly been turning Yogi, my Nissan NV200 van, into my dream micro camper, suitable for holidays, weekends away & days out around Cornwall!
I've been insulating, carpeting & building furniture, whilst adding the essentials & a few interesting extras to make it into a comfortable campervan. I've filmed it all along the way & also make videos on different van and adventure topics.

Thanks for the thorough review! For the purpose of recording a football match between friends, does it have some functionality to keep it hovering in one spot and capture the whole game side to side (like turning the camera slightly to follow the ball, or the ref who is close to the ball in theory), or maybe a very wide angle but ideally not super far from the ground.
Hi, it doesn't unfortunately, you'd need a drone with tracking for that. The QuickShots function are only short bursts of tracking. Battery life might be an issue for filming whole games too
I think if you're just starting out then the drone on its own will do you well and you can always buy extra batteries as you need them. If you know you'll do a lot of flying then the fly more combo bundle is probably the way to go
@@LensOfJames BTW your videos are quite professionally done. Lack a bit of humor perhaps. Here is an idea. Make a 'local adventure' video with the cheapest equipment you can find. Still OK for YT of course. For example my L200 Pro Max drone is €90! Not saying it is as good as the DJI Mini 4k. But the video is definitely good enough. Then cheap action cam or camera or phone. Budget vlogging for poor folks! Then compare it with more expensive cameras. Same adventure. Or you could even do a third video with total crap for the fun of it. €20 drone, €15 camera. Because if there is one thing I hate it is idiots calling a €1000 DJI Mini 4 Pro a beginner drone. This Mini 4k is amazing value for money. Keep checking when Maven, Litchi, or Dronelink will become compatible. Because in my mind a DJI with one of those third aprty apps is actually better than a Mini 4 Pro without. Especially the GPS follow-me feature is superior to DJI's optical tracking when driving a van!
Thank You James ! I had a Mini 2 a few years ago. Looking to get another Drone. Not sure if they will be banned here in the USA soon. I was looking at the Mini 4 Pro and the Air 3. I hate to spend that much on a drone since my Mini 2 was perfect for me. I don't use waypoints, tracking, or any of them options. A mini is a little to much for just a few upgrades from the Mini 2. Mini 3 Pro would be the same price as a Mini 4 Pro. I looked at this Mini 4k before but came back to it again. Would be an exact replacement for my Mini 2 which I really enjoyed and learned to fly. I don't need Obstacle avoidance or any of them features. I looked and somehow found on the DJI website here in the US the Mini 4k Fly More Kit for $289.99 ! I think for what I use the drone for and the amount of time I would use it the Mini 4k will be perfect. Thanks for showing all the options in the fly app.
There are so many to choose from but I think if you're upgrading from a Mini 2 and wanted something similar you can't go wrong with the Mini 4k. Hope you enjoy yours!
Sorry i figured it out solar cant do it but diesseil can o n a van truuuust me i had a 80000 amp hour of battery 50amçp hour control panel and 340 solal panel and guesswhat all batteryz went dead fuk! It i hav to go diessil
I'm not sure what the reason for the price difference is but the main difference between them are that the 901 can install apps from the Play Store and bluetooth steering wheel controls work. The W901 Plus is definitely the better model!
Hi i have a old minivan 2002 pontiac montana. I cant get my new rimoody mp5 to work with reverse camera. I did use a scosche wireing kit. At first nothing worked until i ran my own 12v ignition wire to fuse box. Also steering wheel controlls do not work. After dealing with these issues im thinking the old van is not putting out a signal for backup wire im gonna get a circut tester so i can figure this out.
You would likely be too tall to sit up in a Nissan NV200 unless you lower the bed below the wheel arches. I'm 5'6 (152cm) and there's a couple of inches above my head when I sit up, and that's with one 4 inch mattress beneath me. Hope that helps
so my concerns would be screen glare for passengers, for people who don't want to remove the device all the time hot summers would likely damage the battery, do you know if either of these issues are addressed?
Hi, the screen is dimmable so glare isn't much of a problem, plus with night mode on maps it the screen is quite dark, and it doesn't have a battery in it so nothing to worry about there

Love your method here especially the templates. “I’d LOVE to see how you would make the same covers but with magnets to hold them in place.” How would you attach them if you have a binding on the edge rather than a fabric cover with magnets sewn in. Even sewn in I’m not sure how to do that.
When you showed the iq vid vs the 622gw i thought the vid on the 622gw was better? I can see it obscuring alot of people's windscreen's due to its size!! I agree it has some cool feature's but im still not 100% sold on it 🤷♂️
I've had the 4k version from release in November as well as the rear camera when it was released. It has come along way since and as of today Guardian Mode was released in the last update.. I can't wait for roadwatch ai.. it is expensive and the top subscription is also but it is worth it in my opinion.. I am always remote checking in on the car when left in car parks.. it took a while too get my settings right but now it's 👌 would I recommend it.. definitely..
You wasted a lot of material by placing your paper-model in the centre of the fabric. But the idea itself is great any I will copy it for myself. Thanks.
Nice bed build, thanks for sharing! Question, where do you leave your surfboard when you've pulled out the bed to sleep? Or do you not bring the board on trips?
Thanks! You can have as many slats as you like but I wanted to make sure they're thick enough to be strong but not too thick so the gap between the slats is huge, making the bed uncomfortable

Width of the van at its widest part is 150cm (side door to side door), measure from a narrower part and it'll be less 🤷🏻♂️ (2:19 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CJe8pgAKwxw.htmlsi=33beBFQdgv-7JrWI)
I've been a cycling (bicycle) and camping digital nomad for 13 years now. I wonder whether all this insulation, carpeting and paneling is worth the time, effort and expense. I do need a flat surface for my 1 cm thick camping mat but other than that, extra clothing in winter and four walls against the wind would be enough for me, I believe. Of course, I'm generally a minimalist and "anti-accessories" type, would love to have just a tatami room and a big suitcase and a couple of bags. Just seems like a lot of waste and substance abuse, all that glue and all the trappings.
From the manual: "Tap the centre of the screen to take a photo. This applies while recording and while in video mode. If a Rear Cam is attached, touch the centre of the Front Facing view to take a photo. This will save 2 photos, one from the Front Facing camera, and one from the Rear Facing camera."
Why did you leave the fact that they all require a monthly subscription till the end of the video? This should been made clear right at the start ......
Would you have watched the rest of the video if I did? But seriously, I put chapters in all my videos so you can easily find the section which is most relevant to you without watching the whole thing 👍
