I think the front u bolt should have been a little longer, the bolt is under flush with the nylock nut. I though maybe I positioned it wrong, but it's like that on my buddy's van too, even another installation I saw on RU-vid the bolt was under flush. I dabbed a litte blue Locktite on them "just in case".
Not Rob(b), but I would say that while you could make such a plate, it would be expensive, and would have to be custom designed for your rig, since they are all rather different. The gray water tank is not a critical part, as is the differential, so it is probably not worth it.
This was not at all as simple as it looks. The fingers on left and right that surround the differential housing seemed to be too tight against the housing. Mike at Van Compass told me that in fact the saddle in the skid plate does not actually come into contact with the cast iron differential housing. There should be a gap of a couple of millimeters. This is so that if the plate is struck from below it does not immediately transfer all of the force to the bottom of the differential housing. In other words, this is as designed. I completed the installation and torqued it all to spec and it looks OK.
