when david lee roth left van halen, i said to myself, no way, and everybody i knew who was into van halen at that time was also shocked. they were at their peak when "panama" was all over the airwaves. i was in the navy and i was stationed at galeta island, panama. well, i kinda "left" my listening anymore to van halen after that when david lee roth left. i did try and gave a listen to sammy hagar as their lead singer, but no comparison ever. sammy hagar was actually okay on his own at that time and he should have just stayed as a solo act. can you imagine the songs that david lee roth would have had recorded if he had stayed with van halen with his amazing vocals that you knew it's him if you hear him on the radio. and the success and money therefore that they would have made was probably more than what they made with sammy hagar. david lee roth was the ultimate showman and van halen was the perfect fit for it but didn't work out. to this day, i don't even know what happened what caused his leaving the group. what a waste, IMO!

Something is different in the mix of this version. The ballance for certain parts is wildly jumping between the Left and Right channels, and the high-end frequencies are turned WAAAY up.
