The Bluebell version of Rocky Road used to have tiny whole marshmallows like that- but I’ve never seen any other flavor or brand do that. I can’t wait to try this ice cream brand! The sweet potato would be my first choice! … though berry sounds fantastic too!

I bought both the sweet potato and the marzipan cake ones... Still have to try the sweet potato one but omg the marzipan cake one is so good... Ate the whole pint in one sitting! I wish we had van leeuwen in Canada..i grabbed mine on a cross border trip to Detroit haha

Tried them both and you’re right. The sweet potato one tastes like a caramel ice cream but it does have a lot of marshmallows. I think it would’ve been better with chopped pecans for texture.

Crazy how deceptive companies can be with packaging - if you didn’t look carefully, you’d assume it was a full pint! Crazy! These both look good. Might try them if Walmart still has them next time I go! Thanks!

Kevin, VL uses a more custard type ice cream with a lot of eggs. I have noticed eggy ice creams like this tend to have a cheesecakey flavor.

I bought the sweet potato one today...haven’t tried it yet. It seems to be the trend now with gourmet ice cream brands like VL and Jeni’s to create unique flavor combinations. I enjoy this brand...the flavors I’ve tried have always been high quality.

Sweet potato casserole isn't a thing in NJ really. I didn't know people did that until I was older! I grew up eating them baked whole with cinnamon and butter. Also, I haven't seen an ice cream with whole marshmallows in it either! I was expecting a swirl, but then again it's not like that in the real thing.
