My dog loves watching your videos with me since you got Rocko. Her favorite channel is AB Camping. She has a crush on Bruce. But she loves watching Rocko, too!
Your channel is my favorite "van life" channel. No super glamorized, Instagram ready nonsense. Just great photography, outdoor adventures, delicious looking food, and a realistic representation of the logistics of living in a van.
I hope and pray that Rocko is going to be along for a very LONG lifetime of awesome adventuring. A real gift vs the poor dogs waiting for their owners to take them for a 5 minute walk around the block.
You MUST REST!!! Rocko came into your life for a reason, you having to take care of her has forced you to slow down when your body needed it most. You have been working hard for nearly a decade climbing these summits and not getting full uninterrupted sleep and it’s finally caught up with you. Pushing yourself into adrenal fatigue is absolutely not worth it. Even TV shows have long lapses between seasons as everyone needs a break. Don’t feel at all like you need to keep churning out content to keep subscribers, we will always be here. Check your thyroid, cortisol, and get plenty of sleep!!
Why hasn't he been getting full uninterrupted sleep? Because of having to wake up to stoke the fire/adjust heater? I assumed he slept pretty well in his set up
@@geniebison I’m not talking about this video but in general over the years he has mentioned having his sleep interrupted by people clearing snow from the roads, people blaring music, stoking the fire etc, it’s just generally not as easy to get a full nights rest.
One of the things I really like about these videos is that there is no false bravado. Just a rugged sincere person who isn't afraid to share real life.
I love how Rocko waits at the camera until it's time to run to you. She's a natural! It's important to take care of yourself too, even more so because you need to be in good health to take care of Rocko! I'm here for the duration, so whatever pace of production is practical and healthy is fine for me
Dude, you’ve become a dad. You now have a fur baby, get ready for a lot of sacrifices and fun also. She’s adorable. So cute climbing all over you. Best of luck to both
Foresty has anyone ever told you how creative you are? I think it is great how you look after Rocko. Pretty sure you went far enough!! yes a good idea to go to the Drs and get checked out just to be on the safe side.
AGAIN, WOW‼️Canadian Landscape is BEAUTIFUL GORGEOUS. BIG THANK YOU for SHARING Rocco’s and Your ADVENTURES. Most of US would NOT be able to ENJOY these FRONT ROW SEATS👍👍⬆️🐶😎‼️
Watching Rocko scampering madly either to the camera or away, just lifts the heart to happiness. Thank you for bringing this funny adorable doggie to the adventures!
Sorry to hear your health isn’t improving like expected. Rocko is just too cute, and I love that she now has her very own summit counter! Happy Trails!
Nothing wrong with daycare sometimes when you’re on a big hike. It allows you to do your thing and also allows her some time to socialize with other dogs. A win for everyone.
Hope you feel better soon Foresty! Reminder - dogs have winter coats naturally. Give her time, she is still a baby. Yer a great Dad & learning as ya go - thank you for sharing yer awesomeness with us!
I am lying in bed watching you summit these incredible mountains. For the last year or so I have watched your beautiful filming and wished I could be there. It took me a bit to accept that I will never do this again (diagnosis MS). Now I am just incredibly grateful that you get me there one way or another. ❤️🤗
I love how protective you are of your little companion. Things you would just ignore for yourself become serious considerations when taking HER well being into account. Doggie love is good for your life!
Sonia Downey,,,I hear u loud and clear...Hubby and I traveled everywhere with our Alaskan Malamute...Wouldn't have been a vaca if we didn't...Loved that dog soo sooo much...
I was an avid hiker and mountain biker for almost three decades. I started to get tired and just couldn’t do it. Turned out I have Lupus and slowed me down more than 50%. Just enjoy what you can.
Just a little advice Foresty. My buddy, 2 years back, when we were camping had his jack russel taken by an eagle. We couldn't do anything about it and never found a trace of his pup no matter how hard we looked. It was tragic. It can happen and suddenly. Be careful bud. Cheers!
rocko does make it now the videos i search for -- it's clear how much you both love each other; and I strongly believe she all ready has helped your over all heath....the power of the canine!
Rocko is why I subscribed. What can I say? She is adorable and a lot of fun! I thought how cool is that, a guy who chose a small cute and fun dog instead of a bigger dog. Rocko has it! 🐾 🐾
I'm glad you're gonna go see a doc. I suspect a blood test will be very revealing. I suspect a vitamin deficiency or anemia may be the culprit. Fingers crossed it's a quick & easy fix
@@BeIlows Very possible, I just hope it's not. From what I have read there is no real cure/treatment for that, you just have to ride it out. (I haven't kept up with treatments since I switched from patient care to administration, so I may be wrong) A vitamin def, or a case of anemia can be easily treated. Plus it's nice to have a definitive answer.
You can tell a lot by how a person treats animals and you're really special with her so I already knew you were a great person but this just confirms it.. you would make a great dad one day if that's what you wanted
Forestry please make sure to get all the shots Rocko needs . Especially putting her in daycares. I think with the snow best to have a water proof jacket for her. Hoping you feel better soon.
Foresty, your first priority is your health!!! You'll still have your loyal fans even if you have to reduce your activity. Regarding Rocko, you might check with a vet to make sure feeding her human chow is safe since she's still a puppy! ❤🐶❤ Loved the Total Recall reference!!!
Well earned summit on Mt Tegart for you both (the Rocko nose boop to make it official was great) . Rocko looks so totally at ease when in your pack or that front pouch you rigged up. You two look like you’re really thriving as a pair 👍. Happy for you man.
Oh My, . . . . so darn cute! As you start up the hike and Rocko's following, she stops for a moment & looks up at you as if to say "What? No backpack today Dad? Ahhh geeeesh, O.K. I'm comin'"
I hope that your prognosis is good and that you and Rocko stay warm and safe. You are just a thoughtful and nurturing pop to that little girl. I knew you would be❤️.
My family pioneered that valley, i definitly miss Invermere , windermere, Fairmont and radium Tegart mountain is named after my grandfathers grandfather. I have to hike it someday
Rocko is so so adorable!! Beautiful drone shots!! Hiking high altitudes can sometimes put you at risk for blood clots. Definitely get yourself checked out. 💚 Hiking and smiling Amazing. Lol.
@@alan4sure high altitudes can be anything above 8,000 upto anything over a 14'r. Forest does quite a bit of high elevation hiking also in cold temps. Everyone is different. At least he knows enough to get checked no matter what it is.
@@GeminiJourney1111 I live in big mtns, so does Foresty, thousands of hikers in mtn areas routinely hike to 8,000-10000 ft just as a day hike. 8000 ft is not considered high elevation by anyone except uninformed non hikers living at sea level.
You often travel in prime tick conditions. They carry disease as I’m sure you are aware. And an avalanche probe pole to probe those cornices. Great stuff!
Although BC tends to have more ticks, most of Canada is generally not near as bad as the States. However, with climate change, this season is worse than most. But yeah, if you have ever known anyone who has gotten Lyme disease it is horrible. Also, dogs get ticks really quick on a hike. Looks to me like Rocko's short hair will make it easy to spot them...
Did this start happening when you were in the Moab, Utah, area? I noticed that you were drinking spring water there. You filtered the water, but some of those springs contain some pretty nasty dissolved minerals, like arsenic, selenium, uranium, etc. I hope not, but it could be heavy metal poisoning. Something to check.
My first thoughts were giardia or crypto. Some people have months or years long struggles with them that don’t present with the typical massive GI symptoms. Also some kind of tick borne illness. Unfortunately Lyme is rather hard to diagnose and doctors not on the eastern side of the us/Canada, may be quick to discount that because it’s not common at all out west.
@@jayhat a blood test will show if it's Lyme disease. I have it, and the blood test showed I had it for some time. Specific antibiotics have helped.. I'm talking months on high doses!
I know I’ve said it many times but I’ll keep saying it, love your Videos bud! So happy for you that you got a little companion. Keep up the fantastic work sir 🤙
Another great adventure! I'm always so happy when you recognize the dangerous parts and stay away from them. Rocko seems to be such a good girl! I think you lucked out getting such a sweet little girl. I think she lucked out too! She's perfect for you!
Rocko will be in the Guinness book of world records as the first canine to summit 100 peaks But seriously we’ve all been concerned because you’ve been at 80% for quite a while now and the smart thing to do is to go see a doctor and find out what’s going on Seriously We need you to come hang with us next year at Coachella 😎
Forest, get some craft bells like Christmas Sleigh Bells, hang them at the door. Each time you take her out, take her nose and ring the bells, give her a treat, then let her out. She will learn to ring the bells to go out. Our cat even learned from the dogs. Hugs MT KIDS
Loved your music choice and the breathtaking views! So happy for you that Rocko is your companion. She looked snug in her "pouch". Sorry your health isn't up to par. Just wondering what you eat for probiotics. Your diet looks well rounded. With a wood fire I also think about lower oxygen levels in the van. You probably don't have to worry about that though. I hope you and your doctor can figure this out and get you on to the road to recovery. Your job is really strenuous! A break for health sounds really important! You have so much amazing content we all can enjoy past videos while you recover. All the best to you and Rocko!
Thanks so much for taking me on a hike in the valley and mountains that that I grew up on 60 years ago. Ram Creek and White swan hotsprings so many memories ❤️👍✅
I've probably said this before but that beautiful puppy is living her best life. I hope you see the doc soon and that it turns out to be nothing to worry about. Take care and Lupa (my dog) send love to Rocco xx
