Van Life | Camper Van Build Part 2 | Installing Kilmat to Reduce Body Vibration 

In today’s camper van build video, you'll see my very first project! The van is getting an installation of Kilmat to reduce vibration and noise along the body and roof panels.
If you’re wondering why I only installed the Kilmat in the centers of the open spaces, the reason is simple: it’s not necessary to install over the entire surface to reduce the vibration. Adding just a sheet in the middle of these open spaces greatly reduces the vibration without adding excessive weight.
And, as for why I didn’t add Kilmat to the wheel wells, well, they don’t vibrate much, so they’ll be treated differently, specifically for noise. If you're interested, Greg Virgoe has a great video the explains why adding Kilmat to wheel wells is not necessary. • Sound Deadening a Camp...
