What an epic finale drive this was.

The old officers MRE pack and the sticky toffee pudding and pasta Bolognese was banging. With a small Tabasco sauce.

The drone footage of the Bealach Na Ba was epic! Absolutely loved seeing the shots you got. Looked pretty quiet on the pass too which is great. The ration packs you had must be better than the ones the hubby had in the Army! He said there were a few that were alright but most weren’t great. We sometimes buy some in for trips but the kids won’t touch them 🤣 but they are great for being small and light and no mess or cooking having to be done. How do you feel now the trip is over? What would you say was your highlight? Or a memory from the trip that comes straight to mind when you think of the trip! Look forward to hearing your thoughts on the trip.

It’s a great achievement. It only took a couple of days after we did it, to decide we’re doing it again soon as possible. The Bealach na Ba is great fun. There’s always some entitled clown in an SUV ( or Audi or bmw) who think they own the road. I’ve really enjoyed your trip videos, and look forward to the next :)

I did it, Rob 😁 Completed in 9 days! 👊🏻 What a drive - all of it! I have no idea which part I loved the most because it was all amazing. Ok, Bealach na ba was something else, but apart from that 🤣 It’s a shame they scrapped their passport stamping thingy (okay, so I’m really 10 years old 😆) but I took a gazillion photos as a visual diary. I didn’t have time to order the MRE food pack, but I did buy several Wayfarer meals and some kind of sriracha mac n cheese in a pouch, but never needed them as there’s a Spar in almost every village on route 👍🏻However, it was peace of mind having them as back-up. Slowing down or tucking into a passing place to let locals whizz by was nothing really new to me. I’m always pulling over to let everyone by, especially when going up hill (flooring it at 10mph 😂) And I hate being tailgated. My only regret was not trying a deep-fried mars bar in Castletown chippy. However, there’s still time as now camped up in Beauly and heading to Ben Nevis on the morrow. Looking forward to watching your handy tips vid soon. One thing I wish I had was a small four-fold 40w solar panel for the really sunny days. My other panel was too big and cumbersome to bring. I cheated here and there and stopped off at campsites for their EHUs (bogs and showers) and when I slipped a disc it was the one time I stayed at a hotel (in Gairloch) moving a TV they had put on a table infront of my bedroom window, blocking the stunning views 🙄 See you down the road 🚙🚙💨🏕️🏔️🥾🎒🗺️

Well that looked like a fruitful end to the excursion. Nothing too cheesy there at all! 😁 Yeah. I need to get me some of those MRE packs. You sold them pretty well, albeit minus the grated Parmesan! 🤷‍♂😄 The bird & me had some puerile moments approaching the Contin sign. (Well, it was over 20 years ago when I stayed in Inverness!) Cue Northern Irish accents... "Shurrit yoi or ah'll kick yer " 😂🤣😂

Always wanted to do this but our motorhome way too big.. so looking forward to maybe taking the doblo when I get her… another fab video. 👏

OMG! What a view over Applecross Pass. Your drone shots are stunning, Rob. Chuffed for you that you got the window you wanted to film. I fancy a spag bol now after watching you enjoy yours 🍝 Also going to grab a few MRE bags. Didn’t even know if they existed until this vid. Seeing your face light up when you crossed the finish line made me smile. That will hopefully be me and Marge (my Dob) in a few weeks. Super-excited! Don’t blame you for not backing down the road to let the Kia pass. I wrote a car off once backing up into a hedge to let a 4x4 pass! Another informative and well-produced vid. I’ve taken quite a few notes, and again I’m impressed with your set-up. I’ve yet to watch your vid where you’re making music but just a quickie… did you write all the music featured in this vid and provide the vocals?
