This week we wrapped up our time in Greece and crossed the border into Turkey! We crossed at the Ipsala border and whilst it took a while, it was easy enough.
Once in Turkey, we were in search of beautiful beaches and scenery. But it wasn’t until we headed a little further south, that we found some local gems! We have explored rural Turkey, and the places that the locals choose to holiday. It’s been so interesting to see the ‘real’ Turkey.
We’ve sampled the delicious local foods and soaked up the Turkish hospitality. This could be a close contender for the best country we have visited in the van so far!
The only bad thing to happen was breaking down at the side of the road, luckily we made a great local friend in the process Aysegul and Kieran managed to get us back up and running in no time.
