van life in new england, days in my life, hiking mount mansfield in VT! ⛰️ 

This vid just popped up on my feed and I'm glad it did. Living in Northeast PA myself, it's awesome to see someone adventuring on the east coast. Everyone else you see is always out on the west coast. The northeast has some gorgeous spots to hike, backpack, camp and just explore in. Looking forward to seeing more of your east coast adventures.

Hiked up to the Chin from Smugglers Notch with my dad and his friend who had never hiked up the mountain before. I was 14, so I was running ahead with my pack on and waiting for the older guys huffing and puffing up the trail. That mountain gave me a big boost in physically being fit for life. Hiked it almost every summer from age 5 to about 16. Teaches you to put one foot in front of the other!

Great first video, you’ll do fine. I’m surprised you don’t have a dog, I thought that was a prerequisite, like Nikki, lol. I love New England, I went to Acadia in May for a weekend. Stayed in my van in outside bar harbor. I spent June in Colorado and California, hiking and camping in my van. Last summer I went to the big 5 in Utah for a month. Next summer the plan is the Pacific Northwest, Oregon and Washington for a month. I spent a year watch van life videos, then made the leap and hit the road. Traveling and seeing new places is so exciting. Life is short, travel more. Keep making videos!

Looks like a lot of tannic acids in that stream. I believe that is what made the water a brownish color .
