Today's UK Vanlife travel adventure comes from Tyneham in Dorset.This little village was commandeered by the Ministry of Defence on Christmas Eve in 1943.
The residents were forced to leave their homes and the village along with 7500 acres of land was to be used by the army as a training ground before the D Day landings. The residents were promised their land back after the war but that never happened.
The land is still owned by the Ministry of Defence but the village and tracks have been opened up for the public to use.
If you are visiting Dorset or the Jurassic Coast then this is well worth visiting.
No overnight camping here unfortunately but there is a wild camping spot at Kimmeridge a short distance away. I have featured this on a previous video.
