We are Rich & Samantha and we are very lucky to own 3 VW camper vans. We will be filming TRAVEL content and some Volkswagen Campervan / UK VANLIFE videos.
The basic idea of the channel is to inspire people to get themselves a campervan and travel to some of the places we have been.
We love it and hope that you do too !
Maybe you want to live in your van or maybe just go away at weekends.
We currently do a bit of both.
Van life is about freedom, exploration and living a simpler life.
WHY DO YOU HAVE 3 VANS ? (that sounds like too many) We have a video that answer's that very question !
WHAT'S GOING TO BE ON THE CHANNEL ? #travel videos and #vanlifeuk videos. We aim to cover the UK and Europe, posting town and city tours so you can see where you might want visit (or where not to). If it's CAMPERVAN related, I'm filming it !
Would be interesting to weigh the van before and after conversion. I used dodomat products and some 3 way stretch carpet. I bought an end of roll oak effect vinyl flooring and a single piece plywood sheet roof panel for the rear. A few bits like stanley knife blades, foil tape, spray glue, screws. Ended up costing about £500. You have done a really nice job on your T4. 👍
Thanks that was a nice Tour we go to Weymouth sometimes and have only been to Dorchester a few time once to take my Son to Hospital. The Dinosaur Museum Is good and also the Teddy Bear Museum. Regards Geoff
Crikey don't we live in a lovely country. Oxford is beautiful. Never been myself. I'm a former Batholian; moved to Pembrokeshire - then Cork Ireland - then back to Pembrokeshire. Love the architecture of England;- absolutely exquisite masterpieces. These days however, must admit, I rather prefer the quieter beaches & scenery of West Wales ... but only MOST of the time:- can't wait to re-visit the plaaces of my youth. You've re-ignighted my passion.
Oh (NOT) cool ... the hanging tree:- i didn't know that. Thanks Claudia. Its lovely walking with you through Bath again. My first ever job, obtained through a fabrication of total lies i must be honest, was at the Royal Crescent Hotel. They asked me if I had ever done Silver Service before and I assured them that I was well trained in Silver Service, (total lie), thus I had to learn the craft in double quick time. Got the job, can you believe it !! Though my total lack of experience failed me in the end I thank the management there for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime. Fine Hotel - good memories.
Cor it blows my mind to think that back in the mid 1970s, my old dad had a 5 story town house in North Hampton Street, Bath. Back in the day, my father was a Geologist & Archaeologist and as fate would have it, he became CEO and Curator of the Roman Baths museum & Pump Rooms. He ran it for 17 years, retiring in 1977 to purchase a sixteenth century Inn in the Mendip Hills. Can't remember too much after that, (hic-up) LOL.
Nice video... am curious how you avoid alerting passers-by that you're in the van: e.g. interior lights, making any noise when you move around / make a cuppa / snore in your sleep, etc., especially if you have no blackout blinds at the window or fixed bulkhead behind the driving seats. Are you totally still and quiet for the whole time you're parked up? Thanks 👍
@@FreedomRoads I have blackout curtains but rarely use them. I have tinted windows in the back and sometimes I hang a blackout sheet down behind the front seats where the bulkhead used to be. Anything like brushing teeth and getting the bed ready I do before getting to my sleeping location. Once parked up I literally get in the back and straight into bed. Easier in winter as you have darkness and everyone has their curtains shut
@@adventuresinmyvan Thanks, that all makes sense. You're very organised and have it down to a fine art. I'm a bit of a restless sleeper as well as snoring my head off and needing to pee 2 or 3 times in the night (being a retired old fart...), so I'm sure I'd wake the whole neighbourhood if I parked in a residential street! I also like a glass of vino with my dinner, which technically would put me "under the influence of alcohol while in charge of a motor vehicle" in the event of a visit by our friends in blue. Guess I'll have to stick to campsites or parkups on private land...
@@adventuresinmyvan the layby... nice spot. I travelled around the NF and found some nice spots, but, as you say you can't stay overnight, which is a real big shame.
Steak 🥩 and Eggs 🥚 Are Top Foods .. pack with alot of Nutrients. In my Van I use small spray bottle filled with vinegar to clean pan/dish/utensils plus flies stay away 😂 from Van.
Hi, I’ve just happened upon your videos and watched a few now. Really nice little travel vlogs and interesting to see your three day week too then travelling on your long weekends. Wish you well. Subscribed obviously 😊
One of the only times we have used a campsite was in the New Forest as wild camping is not allowed and the rangers are pretty hot on it, Beautiful part of the country 👍🏻🇬🇧
@@adventuresinmyvan The one we used was really basic just Elsan point and bins that was it just a fenced off area in the forest no made up roads etc only £15 per night last year.
Hi do you remember what was your pitch number? we would like to visit this park because it has many attractions for children, but we are terrified by the number of negative comments about the old toilet block. That is why we would like to have an image of where you can stand to have access to the new toilets. Thank you
@@malgorzatarewers7469 we were on pitch RV2 but anywhere on the “paddock” camping is close to that toilet block. In fairness the 2 blocks aren’t far apart so even if your closest toilets were in the old block the new one is only one minute walk away anyway
Looks like a good spot as not blocking road and high hedge 👍 ❤ going to toilet middle of the night, especially #2 must be a nightmare as most car park toilets are locked at night? 🤔 Thanks for your video though gives van life people ideas of where they can stay overnight 😎🌄🐾🦥🏞️🌲🚐🥳🥳✌️xx
I'm both shocked and and truly stunned. _"Sam. do you want to TRY any of this gin?"_ _"No... No... No... No... No..."_ *WHAT!!?? IT'S FREE GIN!* There's not much I don't like about Lymington. In fact, I wouldn't mind living there myself. Nice video. _Howver. Next time you get the chance to try FREE GIN, please collect a sample... Or ten..._ *_For me!_* 🤔😁👍
Blessed to have lived here for the last 20 years :) The church is a Abbey ha ha ...and the moody building is the museum inside side it tells you all about Mr moody :)
@@davidwaterhouse2552 yes it’s the 800 special which is 1.9 TDI. In fairness the basic 1.9 non turbo would be the slowest but it’s not quick by any means
The Kennet centre isn't new. It was built in the 70s/80s. Back in the 90s, it was a decent place to shop in. Now, half the units are empty and people seem to cut through it to get somewhere else. Currently, the centre owners are trying to get planning permission to redevelopment the whole Kennet centre except the cinema
It has taken all my life so far to be mortgage free and have properties for income and to live in. I finished up in a 20 roomed Regency Mansion yet I spend at least two nights a week sleeping in my van. It's nothing special and looks like an unadulterated Sprinter from the outside but the sense of freedom and quality of a good nights sleep is hard to beat. I live close to the Yorkshire Wolds and have dozens of places I can sleep and be totally undisturbed for the night without anyone knowing I was there. I wish I could commit to full time van life but that dream remains out of reach for the time being. Thanks for the upload.
