So, I'm African and have lived in Europe for 5 years, during which I just spent the winters hating the weather. Only now, almost 10 years after coming back home, I start having an appreciation for colder climates and that's all thanks to you, Linnea! In fact, I have a renewed appreciation for all seasons, since they all bring something exciting and challenging. Still, all thanks to your way of sharing your appreciation for life with us. Seeing your candles made me think of this. Have you tried the candles and inverted clay flower pots as a heat source? If you couldn't wood stove it, and didn't have propane, that might work for heating the size of your van.

I'll definitely have to to try it, (thickness and all 😏) I'm surprised Akeela got up at all not being into the mornings 😂. If you have a cold spot in the van, aim a mini usb fan from behind or off to the side of the stove towards that area. Will also help cool down the hotspot a bit right behind the stove. :) love it!!!

Thank you for respecting the natural resources and residents of the area by not sharing travel locations. I’m very familiar with this particular valley and it gets hammered with tourist traffic year round.

Definitely green onions are a must to top off a soup like yours. Yum! I love to make that soup with hot sauce and peanut butter too. It’s nice to see you enjoying your life!

I’m so amazed at how well you make your tiny space work so well. And back to the wonderful woods the again! I’m especially curious about the space that Akela and Kobuck use to jump up on the bed. The van always looks so big but I know its tight…I would love the actual dimensions starting with the width going into the sliding door, the length to the cabinet(how much room d they have to land) and then the ‘alley’ to the bed. It looks like your little writing nook doubles as the step.

U Have 2 Luv Wing Nuts 4 Small Spaces...

Do not use little Buddy inside van or Moterhome due to carbon monoxide poisoning! You might not wake up ! !! You could use little buddy as long as your propane tanks are outside and a an air ventilator attachment to go into a hole in the van that you will have to cut in your van or moterhome is the down side !

I have traveled as far as the United States goes but I find my favorite spots are just like yours in the high desert in the quiet mountains in the wilderness ...after going through a rough 3 years I look forward to hopefully being able to get something a little bigger for me and Simba my dog to travel in because a Subaru Outback is pretty tiny. Hi I put the odd wood stove in ...... and it looks like you have put flue pipe around the wrong way...... it will still work but when or if water comes down it will come out on top of stove instead of going inside and no mess. But it’s great to be out there on Big adventure’s all the best Sean

Yay the Woodstove has returned!!! I love butternut squash soup. I always add a little dried scotch bonnet, the heat adds a nice little spark! & it keeps you nice and warm.

I wood put some sort of metal behind the stove. One it will reflec more heat in rather than heating the wood behind it but the Big plus is you will feal safe. Sweet Dreams Guys
