This film was produced by the BBC's flagship Arena arts documentary series.
It includes some of Van's thoughts on his music plus duets with Bob Dylan and John Lee Hooker.
He also joins forces with a number of other musicians helping to show the range of his material.
This Swedish TV version includes three songs with the Danish Radio Big Band not in the BBC film:
