@@pathfinder303 the same design/same pattern, in this case, some vans are built with the same basic design, like cookies of the same pack 🍪 lol but their layout/thought process seems different to me

Great video!! 👍 Love all the security you have. We have dead locks and the pedal covers. Just put a padlock under the drivers seat ( read about it on van life)! Hooe to meet you guts on the road one day.
You guys are awesome and of course I love your name from one Dawn to another and loved your comment when James kept saying my wife and you were like no I'm "Dawn", because that's totally something I have and would say to someone...LOL. Anyways your build is beautiful and really does look like a small version of a home with making zones for the specific spaces and I think it's the first build I've seen with an Induction cook top along with an oven and yes maybe James went a tad overboard on security but I'm sure in his thought process he was protecting his most valuables which is not the van of course but Dawn and obviously Mary. Your puppy is a cutie. Though she may have an ear infection as she seems to be rubbing her ears quite a bit. Just an observation. Our pup did that to and it turned out she had an infecting. Some ear drops cleared it right up.

We had noticed that about Mary too, but she has been to get checked out by the vets and apparently she is all good 👍 but will definitely keep an eye on it as apparently her breed are prone to issues with their ears! Aww thank you!! Glad you liked it! So Mary was supposed to sleep in her bed on the couch…that lasted all of 2 seconds. Her quarters are well and truly in our quarters, so much so that she sleeps in the middle of our two pillows! We call her the passion killer, but she does give wonderful cuddles 🥰
I remember driving past you guys when you were doing the conversion, I was going to drop in and say hello and have a look at your electrical installation but never did. Your literally down the road from my house 😂😂, van looks mint good luck on your travels 👌👌

Thanks for the awesome comment. We haven’t weighed it yet, ignorance is bliss and all that 😂. But we do have plans to add a triple leaf spring and additional shocks to give us some further give. But I think we are just under the limit at the moment. The shower is pretty cool, has to import it from the states. Would love to meet up on the road, where do you guys call home?

Home at the moment is south Wales, Kidderminster and Glastonbury 🤣🤣🤣 currently parked up at Talybont Reservoir South Wales getting rid of these blinking colds we have, bit of honey and lemon and all will be good, at least we have a view here to die for 👍🏻 which makes being ill a bit more bearable 🤣🤣🤣 and being the winter we have it all to ourselves 👍🏻🤣 result, as it's packed here in the summer, would love to see your van one day you truly done a beautiful job 👏👏👏👏👏 love, peace and good energy 🙏🏻 hopefully see you in the new year ❤️🙏🏻

What a stunning van! You’ve thought of everything. Nice to see a UK van tour too with links to UK companies and UK Amazon . Thanks for all the info on security, 2:41, some good ideas there. Are you safe inside the van though? Please move those knives! My son in law is a fireman who has attended many RTAs and he’s made me aware of how even the most innocuous item becomes a missile in an accident. As you’ve removed the bulkhead please be aware of items in the back that can become missiles, can you imagine those knives?! At 21:00 you mention the induction hob draws a lot of power. Hey Mama Kim, thanks so much for the lovely comment! Yes, we feel very safe in the van, but then again we have not really been forced to stay anywhere too risky. Oh wow, ok thanks for the heads up re the knives! 😬 Both the oven and hob do draw down a fair bit of power, but it’s nothing too bad if I know that we are driving a bit that day (so the dc to dc will charge the batteries). I’m very interested in the van, but could I suggest you consider wireless microphones if you’re doing outdoor videos? It’s not even the wind that’s problematic; it’s him repeatedly turning his head away while speaking. The captions are not terrible, but it’s still frustrating.

Hey Ashley, they work really well. Even when I taken them off to drain something etc you can see the magnetic thing cuts off from the hob and it turns off. They also don’t feel flimsy either. Think we put the link in write up of the video of the exact ones we got 😊
I am sure you got a nice van, but the tour was so detailed and there was so much talk I couldn't bare to watch to the the end. I'm not really sure people need to see every item you got in your drawers and cabinets. If you could do a quick tour like max 10 minutes, or less I will watch it to the end.

@@JamesandDawn I guess it's not as much your van video I got issues with. It''s this way with most van videos. Turn on the water to show off the faucet, like people don't know what happens when you engage it? Or showing all drawers and cabinets like views got no imagination at all. Show one or two if you've done something ordinary, if not keep them closed and focus on getting the basic layout well presented, steady camera swipes without panin' so fast viewers get dizzy. It's starting to be that if you've watched van tours for a while, there are rarely any surprises anymore. You are content creators. Well create. Don't copy others, get creative with the camera. Try out weird angles or play with additional lightning, or use tripods and slow shutter speed or whatever. Just make sure it stands out. There must be some low hanging fruit to collect here, because most creators create the default van tours. Open everything, if van belongs to two people, they take turn showing details. If you are equal you might get enough viewers to get the ball rolling, but the competition must be getting tougher as more and more van videos get posted? To be clear, your video was not bad it was just more of the same. Take this for what it's worth and not as harsh critic of you as a person or you skills. You got a head with a brain inside, and I'm sure you know how to use it. Have a peaceful holiday both of you, and if you make an edited version I will happily watch it to the end, especially if you drop me a comment in this thread as I then get a notification.
