You won't believe how much room this one has. Cathy had the interior of a shuttle bus that was used by an assisted living facility custom built by professionals out of the best materials. It is not for sale.
❤ oh my gosh...love this lady . That bus is fantastic. She won't have any problems with selling it. I so wish I could join the tribe and meet these fantastic people in person. 😊

I know she'd love to keep it. Someone whose priority is a well-built, safe van but doesn't plan to travel so many thousands of miles will get a good deal. 👍

Awww, Cathy you are precious! I circumvented the country in my SUV, you will have a blast and your plans with your sister sound very cool! Be safe and well in your travels. I'm sure you will find the perfect buyer, it is a well-planned out build!
The van is amazing and all the thought that went into the build, it has turned out to be so useful and well built. Thank you for your video and good luck in your travels.
Great build! I would keep it. You'll only save 2-3 mpg. It will be hard to find a comparable amount of equipment/materials to what you already have. Good luck on your journey 🙏
Women make such good, practical designs. Love this, I'm trying to decide to use my high top I have and modify it go smaller as gas is an issue. Then I see this one, I could just get out there, well, if I could afford it. Best to you.
Cathy, your home is beautiful! I love it. I wish I could afford it because it's perfect for me and my little dog. I also wouldn't be able to afford the gas. I just want to get out and try the lifestyle, even if it's just for a little while. I'm hoping someone near me just wants to be rid of an old clean, cargo van. I have a few bills left to pay off, and then I can put more towards savings. I'm keeping my hopes up. Safe travels on all your journeys.
Hi Cathy, love your van. Sorry you have to let it go. This is Pat with the 2013 Transit Connect you loved at the meetups. I think you said you had one and loved the gas mileage, but went bigger. I’m with you, love the gas mileage but would like something a little bigger. Somewhere between mine and yours. I hope we find what we want. Looking forward to getting together again in Florida in the fall. Safe travels. Pat. 😊🚐
Girl I feel like you’re my best friend we just haven’t met yet! Lord between where you want to travel to the animal rescue! I wish you had an Instagram account!!! Be Safe and enjoy every moment! 🥰🐶🥰🐱🥰🐰🐾🥰
Good job on the build! This has a nice layout. The bed is a variation on the slat bed, but simpler. I would have put the taller cabinets like wardrobe, shower, tall fridge on drivers side with bed and kitchen galley on passenger side for good visibility from the drivers seat. The outdoor water heater should have a lock proof cabinet so it is not stolen. That is a thief magnet. The cabinets were poorly finished on inside the doors. This is professional work? Not good. Why have vinyl padded doors? No need for any vinyl on cabinets, save it for wall panels if you want a softer look. The cabinets should be wood and easily closable, cleanable. Vinyl will wear out, tear, and not good for heavy use cabinets. I would keep the van, and not switch. You can switch to an electric vehicle down the road. A few miles difference does not impact you much. Its a drain on your resources to redo a whole van and... you will sorely miss the headroom, and larger floor space in this one. Find ways to improve mileage and lessen wind drag on long trips. Personally, I could not live in a compact Ford Transit type van even the largest models. So squished by low height and short width. They do matter. Camerawork - Please note - SHOW VAN NOT WOMAN/MAN. This is a common mistake. The speaker is centerstage in every frame. While it is great to see her, we came to see the van build not the builder. You need to pan camera on van details as she is talking about them instead of remaining fixed on her face. As a result of poor camera work and fixed monotonous view of speaker only, we missed out on so many details of the van, making this an impoverished content video. You did not show us the water heater in back, details of cooking, kitchen, toilet/bath, clothes storage, etc. You need to systematically cover these areas not leave them out. This was disappointing and poor planning. We did not get a wide angle view either of the van from drivers cab area or looking from garage to front. Just closeups of speaker all the way with a few glimpses of the van. Such a wasted opportunity. Also, before you show us the inside, we need to know what the outside looks like so show that first, what type of vehicle this is. Please take some tips from Tiny House Tours or other established channels. You have great finds but novice camera techniques of filming. It should be 90% van and 10% speaker if that. While we hear her, show us the van. This is Video, not Radio.
Cathy I loved meeting you. You are truly a sweet soul sister. Let’s camp together this spring and maybe you can join us as we caravan on the northern trek of our beautiful America this summer. 🦋🦈
I enjoyed meeting you too! I’d LOVE to do the northern trek but I already have several trips and a family gathering scheduled throughout this summer. Still, let me know your plans. Sometimes things change…
I have 1-burner electric and 2-burner propane stovetops in kitchen drawers. I also have a Coleman camp chief oven that fits in my garage area (former wheelchair lift area)
@@ButterflyTracks Everyone has said anything positive I could have said many times over here. I'm crazy anti plastic, just like this chick, but felt it was important to point out there's no such animal.
What a great van. Love that organic materials were used. For health reasons, that is fantastic. Best of luck to the current owner...She seems like a wonderful soul.😊
Emf/dirty electricity is a huge point of toxicity. Be sure to have your electricsl properly grounded and tested, and nothing xlose to where you sleep. Always turn electric off when sleeping or near it
I previously watched this video, but just came across it again after meeting Cathy. She's such a sweet person and it really is like a retreat staying with all these wonderful people ❤
Hi my name is Jan I'm in Arizona and I desperately want to do a meet-up with other seniors. I've built out my Prius. I want to travel more. With my health I need to keep a home base. Anyone wanting to meet up in and around Arizona please reply. Love this channel!

I want to see when I sleep in the van at night, it's cool but the glass is open a lot, people can see the contents, I don't think it's safe, I hope you are always healthy. I want to see the night life in the car😂
It’s not listed and I am having second thoughts on selling. I might use my Toyota 4 runner for longer off road trips. And keep the bus for shorter trips. Thanks for watching Jan’s wonderful tour of my bus!
@@kimdagnillo8246 yes, not great gas mileage but better than the bus. And frankly I want to go places that the bus can’t go. My 4Runner is lifted with 35” tires.
I wish I had the money to buy, I'm going to be homeless as of October. I intend on just driving around the states. Seeing things I haven't seen before. Sadly to say it's currently cheaper than a $2800 a month 2 br apartment
So very nice! Very open and yet cozy!! Hope whatever she decides to do, she will still enjoy the adventure! Is she now traveling? She mentioned picking up her sister; This is July 30, vid uploaded in April.
Lovely converted shuttle bus. I have dreamed of doing this with a shuttle bus. If you DO decide to sell it what price range were you looking to get for it? Since you said you have over $30K in it, how much would you be selling it for?
I have looked at what others are asking for converted skoolies, short buses, etc and the prices are all over the map. Prices are high right now including the cost of something to replace it. Very hard to place a price…. Maybe I’d do best offer….it’s really a mute point since I’m holding for now. Sorry, I know it’s not the answer you wanted😏
I had 5 different people. Several of them were not good, kind of a disaster. But one man in particular was amazing. A 78 year old gentleman with an old fashioned work ethic and mad skills. He built and/or installed all the interior cabinetry, closet, bed, everything inside. Thank you, Paul❣️ He’s my hero!
Many of these women are getting out for the very first time and have overcome anxieties to be able to out on their own. They are comfortable enough to relax at our meetups. 🦋
Yes E.K. they are different! Have you watched ALL of Jan's tours? There have been African American, Frience, hispanic, asian, italian and many more. Keep watching!
