Hey, girl. A bit of advice. Don't leave anything of value in your van when you ship it to Mexico, otherwise, you run the risk of them being stolen. Sometimes even when you have everything insured with the shipping companies this happens. 🙂
@@ANTDOG480 I'm not exaggerating. I've had friends and family that this has happened to. I'm not even talking about her sitting around in her van because that's different, I'm talking about when she gets her van "shipped". Shipping companies are known for breaking into vehicles no matter the country. There's even RU-vidrs who have had that happen to them when "shipping" their vans from one country to another. Check out Trent and Allie and you will see what I'm talking about. Ultimately, it's her decision what she does. I'm just giving her some friendly advice.
Susi be very careful on your trip to my beautiful Mexico. The roads are not very safe and less for a single girl. unfortunately, the country has a lot of drug trafficking, insecurity and a long list of femicides. From the bottom of my heart I can tell you that it is not safe to travel alone in a Van and as a woman in my country. A truth that hurts. Try not to be alone and always share your location with someone. You are an inspiration to me and I wish that my country will one day be as safe to travel on the road as it is in Europe. We know how much you love adventure but Mexico is not like Europe. Be sure you have a backup plan. Perhaps you should try USA or Canada first and then go South. You might end up loosing your van. Best wishes

Susi I don't know if you will see this but this advice can go for anyone: If you are going to Mexico or any country w/ a reputation of being dangerous look up that country's name and travel.state.gov, it will tell you all the areas you should avoid and it's useful in general even if you aren't a US citizen Mexico's is here travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/traveladvisories/traveladvisories/mexico-travel-advisory.html There's a reason all the comments are warnings! Stay safe :)

Be sure you have all of the right documents and insurance to drive in Mexico. Many from the US has driven across the boarder thinking they had all of their paperwork in order only to have their vehicle impounded; the impound fees were always 3 times more than the value of the vehicle. Be safe!
I don't live in Mexico but my family visit our relatives almost every year. (not during the pandemic tho). Im just warning you about the streets! and the way how people drive in the area I visit. Im not very sure how it is in the broad spectrum of Mexico. Please be careful!

Canada restricted the flights south until the end of April, can’t wait to get back down there 😕🌮🌮🥳 Since you’re fixing up your combi for the trip, I can’t recommend enough investing in (or building...) a sliding screen door for your side door and all your windows, especially the back one. Trust me, you don’t want flying, biting 🍔-size cucarachas in your bed! The mosquitoes and other biting bugs can also transmit some pretty serious stuff like dengue, malaria, zika, Chaga’s and chikungunya... I want you to be as safe and queenly comfortable as possible, so seal up your van against crawlies is the best advice I can give you! 🐍 🐜 🕷 🦟 🦂 🚐😱 👑 Peño will have to get used to the leash in Mexico, little cute full-breed dogs get kidnapped all the time, especially if they still have their huevos 🥚🥚. There’s also a lot of mean street dogs everywhere... You can get a Tile for his collar so you can track him, too! 🐕🤔😍

Cool...have a wonderful time and safe travels while in Mexico. Something I like to do when I make it to a new country or continent is step on the grass bare feet. However, when I crossed over Texas into Mexico and took my shoes off to step on the grass. Huge mistake LOL don't step on the grass barefoot in Mexico, it felt as if Thorns were in my feet but when I stopped to look there was nothing on bottom of my soles. But who knows maybe that's just how the grass is right at the border? Anyways safe travels. #ArtisBlu

Please be careful in Mexico. As an American, I would not even travel there myself to resorts that are guarded by armed security. Cartels have overrun the police and the forces are usually corrupt and not seeking safety as a priority. Entire towns and villages are being overturned by the Sinaloa Cartel. I have watched you for years and would advise you to wait until COVID restrictions loosen the borders and you can enter through American or Canada. Restrictions in Mexico could leave you stranded should your trip be cut short. Please search the Langford/Miller/Johnson Family Massacre which took place Nov. 2019.
