A quick ride to check the sound of the Vance & Hines slip on exhaust for the Ducati Scrambler Café Racer. -GoPro Hero 7 w/ Microphone Adapter -Purple Panda Microphone
I bought one of these bikes last year, and although at 6'-0" I'm realistically too big for it, I am in love with it, especially on twisty country lanes here in the UK. I am still undecided on whether I need a aftermarket exhaust or not. I think it sounds pretty good even on the standard pipes, especially rolling off the throttle while slowing down coming up to junctions. That V&H does sound great, though.
Haha. Yeah at 5’ 10” I sometimes feel a bit cramped. It’s a short wheelbase so we sacrifice a bit of comfort for better handling in the twisties. I agree the stock exhaust is just fine, but for my own ears and vanity it was either V&H or SC Project.
It was great to see you ride today as we're having snow tonight here in Michigan. Maybe the best video of an actual ride on a Scrambler. Sounds great. My Icon sounds good with the V&H but on along ride it drones in my head. Your bike does not pop at all. Has it been tuned?
It does on deceleration. No tune or map, but I think it’s due to mileage. I do get the drone when I stay in the 6-8000 rpm range on a long ride and feels like bike wants to shake apart.
