I haven't gotten the impression that the democrats position on immigration, outside of useless rhetoric, has changed all that much. A huge portion of the failed "border bill" was increased resources for processing.
@@Radjhitoocool Well for one, there was never a 5k a day cap. There were rolling 7 day avg limits that would trigger a "closure", and an 8.5k single-day threshold that could trigger a closure. Second, the Democrats have never been "open borders" so I'm not sure how any of this is even counter to their platform. These were measure built in to give DHS, border patrol, and the POTUS the tools to prevent humanitarian issues at the border. And again, along with this provisions there was AN ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE increase in resources to speed up processing and reduce wait times. Frankly, I find Hasan's take on this nothing more than left-wing propaganda aimed at the center-left. Saying that the Democrats joined the GOP on their 2020 immigration position is laughably transparent bullcock. If anything has changed it's their rhetoric on border security. Because the reality of our dilapidated 25+ year old border and immigration strategy, and REAL issues with managing the border and immigration, was blasting egg all over their face.
Who is this guy i am not ann American so dont know everyone that talks on RU-vid. I found it hard to workout which side he is on , is he talking in the middle of the night as he sounds like he should be in bed judging by his continual yawning.
His name is Hasan Piker, he's a leftist so he's not a Republican or a Democrat and criticizes both parties for being too conservative. He's not really on a side, but he wants for the Democrats to be more left wing and appreciates them when they are.
