On August 15th, 2020, I had the goal to ride the Triple Crown challenge, where you cycle up Mountain Seymour, Grouse Mountain and Cypress Mountain. The total distance was 108km and roughly 2,400m of elevation. My goal was to raise money for Spinal Cord Injury BC in order to help individuals with spinal cord injuries adapt, adjust and thrive post injury.
Special thanks to all the supporters, we raised a total of $750 for Spinal Cord Injury BC, with a grand total of over $75,000 this year for Scotiabank Charity Challenge.

Hi Terry Chen, I am planning to come out to BC the August. Do you have any tips / pointers you can share with me. My plan is to do the triple crow as well so I am grateful for your video.

Hey Dave, absolutely. I’d recommend starting with Seymour, grouse then cypress. Seymour is the longest and IMO the toughest, so would be easier to get that out of the way. Trick is to pace yourself and keep eating and drinking so you don’t bonk.

I was riding a Giant TCR Advanced SL (rim). I now ride with a norco tactic.

Hey question how many months can you cycle cypress and seymour before it’s snow covered? What month does it become snow covered and what month does it thaw?

You can technically cycle up year round, if it snows they have it cleared and plowed daily, although it’s probably too cold and not enjoyable in the winter time.
