Well, Chris had to go on with his life; he was only 26 when Selena died. But if it were me, I'd never marry a man who was that in love with his former wife because I would always be competing with a ghost.
Chris is in a much better place now than he was back then. His marriage to Vanessa ended bc Chris had practically given up on it. After all the years of ignoring and suppressing his feelings concerning Selena and what happened to her he crashed and went into a depression. This is when he started to acknowledge his true feelings and dedicated the book to Selena. Now he is in a much better place. Yes, Selena will always hold that special place in Chris's heart but bc he is such a loving sweet dedicated person I hope and pray that the Good Lord will bless him with another love bc he is in a much better place now than he ever was. Of course no one can ever replace Selena. She is irreplaceable. But she would want Chris to find love again and move on. We all should be able to move on. Its called LIFE.
