So after no trailer last week, we got one this week! Vanessa returns very similar to her kof 14 rendition, although perhaps much better yet as EX anywhere gives her the ability to actually defend herself! The model while not "new" looks fantastic and SNK is hitting things out of the park! My only fear is we might move to a trailer every 2 weeks style of release now that the game has been delayed, we will see I guess.
Streaming again tonight in a few hours! Potemkin guide in a few days, a fun silly GGST tier list in a few days too(more for laughs than anything, hope you like it) and more whatever else wheenver else I don't know I barely plan things out ahead of time honestly I got so much on my plate looking into the future is hard!
Vanessa is the first NESTS-saga character to get a trailer, which is pretty amazing considering K' was in the teaser and is still waiting on the sidelines!
What you said in the intro is interesting but true. It's one of the reasons street fighter five is weird to me. Most of the dudes models are kinda. Well they look like a vast assortment of fighting fanatics. Which is good. But the girls all look like super models. Very little overall variety. Which isn't like the worst thing ever. But it's weird how the mens looks can range from cool, to fucking weird. Whereas the woman are all just supposed to be hot.
As a small sidenote. This is why I really like guilty gear so far. Making characters attractive isn't bad. But it stands out in a game like street fighter since it's primarily only the woman. With the exception of like. Cody and Vega (whose current models faces are still pretty attractive. Rip ken cause that model is looking rough) In Guilty gear Strive (specifically as I haven't played any other guilty gear titles)... Honestly. Everyone in that game is hot af. Like. Everybody. Except for maybe like Faust cause Baghead. And May who is cute but also the devil.
@@BlazeWolf9511 SFV has this issue, but Tekken is on another level of this. Their Polish prime minister looks like she's just out of high school, they chose to have Kunimitsu in Tekken 7 be the daughter of the original Kunimitsu, Kazumi will always be younger than her son (because she's a ghost and all), and Anna and Nina Williams got put into cryogenic sleep so they wouldn't age after the Tekken 3 timeskip
Man oh man, looks fantastic, combos look super fun to do with these juggels and of course Vanessa herself looks AMAZING, I definitely gotta get the game now, I got a day 1 main and I really wanna learn this character. Can't wait!
Vanessa and the Goose Howard were the only characters I learned in kof 14, so once Duck Howard gets his announcement I'll be as happy as a pig in you now what.
You're so right about the double standard, I do wish she had a few wrinkles or something though! Although I love that she's a female bruiser/boxer type, I'm a sucker for that
**fiuuu**, Every time i look at the character models, I am breathtaken. Vanessa looks interesting, a character with kick buttons that are not actually kicks lol, i've only seen a couple of characters like that in the past. The double stance is also very interesting as well.
not surprised Vanessa is back...more surprised Luong turned out to be a secret agent...but given she wasallowing herslef to be the mistress of Gang...KINDA making more sense...ah well...lets all share Vanessa's favourite food to celebrate the return of the MILF secret agent...beer!
I’m happy to see Vanessa come back. She’s a really cool character and is a lot of fun to play in 14, even though I can’t play her very well. Luong being on the agents team was definitely a surprise, it will be interesting to see how that plays out.
I'd like to think that delaying the Women Fighters team is a way to quietly stuff this game with Women exclusive teams. Maybe Yuri is actually on a Heroines team with Athena and Kula, and will REALLY mess with existing teams.
Why they gotta do my mans robert dirty like that by making him the punching bag??? Anyways great video as always these kof trailers are always something i look foward too as well as ur trailer breakdowns
So... I first heard of Vanessa because an artist at my FGC locals did some fanart of her. I became intrigued because boxer characters have drawn my interest in pretty much any fighting game I play (I've even taken up boxing IRL because of this). But the only KoF I've played is 14, where she's in the game, but as DLC, and I don't play the game often enough to justify that cost to myself (Nelson's really cool though! Still waiting for him!). I'm likely going to pick 15 up, so this will be the first time I get my hands on her.
Now that you mention it, you’d think they’d have more older women in fighting games. This series already has a guy like Master Roshi, but they could have somebody like Genkai from Yu Yu Hakusho.
super happy to see Vanessa on Main Roster, as she is my 3rd Favorite KOF fighter, Only King and Kyo beating her. I am curious about her Lore in this game, as it's kind of a retcon. in KOF 2000 it was stated her Husband was dead or Missing. Another thing, Husband knew she is a Secret Agent, he was the one to introduce her. Still Excited for her, Retcon no Retcon.
I wouldn't be the guy for it, I never really put much time into Goh. Wolf and Vanessa(vf vanessa, not this one) would be the ones im most qualified for, but even then with Strive season in effect I don't really have time to make VF vids right now :(
Vanessa's hands are a little too big, arent they? well, well... this new team truly shattered my expectations. hopes still alive for a nice Korea team (Kim-Jhun-May Lee) and for no Alice at all. - - about character ages, thats a good debate. young ppl tend to figure ppl around 30-40 as elderly. so, lets check some 'superhero movie clebrities' ages: *Scarlet Johansson - 36yo *Gal Gadot - 36yo *Margot Robbie - 30yo *Chris Evans - 40yo *Sebastian Stan - 38yo *Tom Holland - 25yo Okay, I made my point. Luong, Blue Mary, Vanessa, Leona, Mai and Chizuru are certanly at 30-40 yo range. Iori, Kyo, Joe are 30+. Terry, Andy, Ryo, Robert, Ralf are near to their 40s for sure. Clark probably is near to 50yo.
When I saw announcement I have a pinch of hope for Seth big comeback but this path is unfortunately closed... Still - agree with opinion that, she as archetype of FG heroine stands out in very positive light
I love the concept of this character. Her move set is very cool, and I love that she's not in high school. But I can't stand her costume, like what pops into my head when I hear a secret agent who fights like a boxer? Not a cut-off dress shirt and tie. Fuck I want to like her so bad but I hate looking at her. Why can't they make her look like a fighter?
This team is actually quite terrifying, I feel like i've heard people talk about how strong each of these three are on there own so it's possible that this might be one of the more viable official teams to run. Also little note about Vanessa's backstory. She used to have a husband, he was also a secret agent and the one who taught her everything she knew but he was killed on a mission which is what led her to take over the business so to speak. So she's not only a secret agent but also a single mom, talk about overtime, I have no idea how she does it.
There is 1 Question though, why do most Parents with Children like Vanessa in not just Fighting Games, but all of Video Games as whole are always Single? Edit: When it comes to Parents in Video Games, they were either just killed off screen or just not refered to ever again, at least *John Marston* in "Red Dead Redemption" where not only he Reunited but also spends his Final Time with his Family.
Im so glad she is back and is part of the base roster, i just REALLY hope she got maybe one or two new moves and hopefully is pretty good. she was not that strong in 14 to me.
Glad that the milf of KOF has returned. Had a feeling she would be in the secret agents team again, though I didn’t expect Luong to be teaming up with them.
Not trying to be a hater but I'm curious what people find appealing about this games aesthetic. Like, to me, it's just regular dudes punching each other. Even street fighter has a much more interesting cast of characters and is better animated, and SF is pretty mild so far as crazy characters go. I haven't tried the KOF franchise so maybe it's the gameplay that carries the series, but with games like Strive dropping left and right I'm not sure 'Vanessa, the 30 year old soccer mom with 2 kids and a station wagon" is all that exciting.
Team Secret Agent, sounds interesting enough but personally I’m going to cal this Team Milfs or Team Armpits. But in all serious it’s everyone looks great on this team, they’re play-style doesn’t interest me but look wise the want to make me try them.
and come on there are plenty of fighting game female characters who are in their 30s....Vanessa just so happens to be one of the more OPEN about her age characters...any of the older ladies tend to keep their ages listed "secret" if they reach that high...I mean lets be REAL there is NO chance in hell Chun Li is still in her 20s by SF5-SF3's time lol
@@Fusso I really don't follow those official dates anymore given things unfortunately simply changed beyond what could have been imagined back then...and as a result the level of technology just does NOT match...so you're saying in the SF world they went from an 80s like 90s....to getting smart phones and youtube like platforms in 1998? Nope sorry just doesn't fly with me...anyway even if I ignore all that my point stands simply that Chun Li is not a spring chicken anymore but I guess that is a good thing given we followed her character progession from that youung rookie dective to the mother like figure she is now...
@@Avalon64 oh, it doesn't match at all with the games, but it's Capcom themselves that keep pushing the timeline. I think it's in part because they don't want to age the characters. But it's absolute nonsense. If you have the street fighter 30th anniversary collection, they have a timeline there.
