Four hours first class airplane ride with General Vang Pao to Los Angeles, CA from Minnesota was the best four hours talk with him in my life. He is a man of greatest visions and a leadership are second to none. I truly respect his visions for our Hmong children to have very successful future. It will take a life time to see a great man like him again. His Visons was Education. Take a good look today and see how high our Hmong education have riches and how successful our children have been. War would never bee easy to any one or any country. He love all Hmong. He help all Hmong when they most need of his help.

Vang Pao was a good leader from 1960-1966 then he got big head so he put Yajsoob Lwj in Jail then killed him thereafter he continued corrupted and be a dictator until he died.
After reviewing these documentaries, I'm really pist at Vang Pao and the CIA. They left the rest of the hmong soldiers/families to fend for themselves and die in Laos after the war. If I was Vang Pao, I will not be able to live with myself knowing I left behind my hmong soldiers who was so devoted to me, especially the really young and kid soldiers. What they did to rest of the hmong soldiers is inhuman...you can't just run off and say, bye bye, everyone run for your life! All those that are still suffering in the jungle of Laos is because of Vang Pao and the CIA. If you are a true hero, you must do what you promise. What happened was he made a deal with CIA to save himself should they lose the war, not all the hmong soldiers. He and the CIA basically lied and tricked all the hmong soldiers to fight for them promising them safe haven which they did not do.

Just because half of what he did was positive doesn't make the whole situation right, the wrong is still wrong. He should have thought everything through before deciding to side with the CIA. He should have thought about the consequences of what would happen to his soldiers/people if they lose the war. He didn't, CIA bribed him with money, making him a glorious hmong leader if he fought with the CIA and he couldn't resist. Just think, is it wise to do something where you could only save yourself and few of your children and the other many will suffer and die? To me not wise at all...especially if we are just hill tribes living in someone else's country not even ours. We should give him credit for what he's achieved, a fierce leader/general but we shouldn't excuse he did that was wrong.
