Yo. Hace años y años que la escucho a veces por casualidad y no sabía el título ni el músico. Hace una semana pregunté en un comentario y me respondió una chica. Fue para mí un milagro saber de quién es y el título de esta joya musical. Un saludo desde Marrakech.
I used to listen to these types of music when i was little because of my mom and i can only appreciate this gift

I've been searching for this song for SO FUCKING LONG that I just cannot believe it finally found me. Right now I'm on the 3rd year of med school, and the first and only time I've heard it was about 15 years ago, on my cousin's medicine graduation. I didn't want to be a doctor back then, but I've really enjoyed the song. Many years later I've remembered this song and started looking for it... I REALLY tried my best and couldn't!!! Even after that, when I've finally realized I wanted to be a doctor, one of the first things my emotion brought to me was (guess what) this song. TRIED AGAIN AND FAILED!!!!!! I am so FUCKING happy it finally found me!!!!!!!
If this Song was soooo important in your Life, then you should respectfully not use FOUL language to express your pleasure in Actually finding It After soooo long. It Is aslo disrespectful to the Genius Vangelis Who composer It!!!!!!!!! What also amazes me Is that a medicali studenti should use respectful language to express his pleasure in finding this magnificent piece after a lengthy search!!!!!!!!!
This is truly a music connected to soul...no matter who you are from where you belong, even if you hear this for the very first time you will feel you have been listening to this since infinity.
That's why they killed their own old people through covid when they were too sure of themselves that they won't loose so they lost that cover and paradise dissapeared for them 😭
Dear Vangelis, I just want to let you know, whenever your soul may be ascending to, is similar to what you left to us in this world. The burning tears that I had for my late father who passed away on January 12, 2020 is the very same as of May 17, 2022. I believe many also felt the same. You spoke of love, courage, sympathy, greatness and hope like no one else could. When it was and will be difficult, you were the father, friend, light, closer to God and to nature itself for every single heart that listened to you. And for that, I really do hope that heavens exist so we/I can thank you there. All that is left is to carry the blissful smile of your existence that happened once in a lifetime of ours. May your spirit of sound never rest and echo for eternities.
We played this song at my grandpa's funeral last week. Since he was a ship captain it was like his final salute, beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time
Heroics are pretty bloody business. Just because the movie does not conform to your idea of a "hero" does not mean that the movie is not objectively heroic.
Rubbish!. 1492 - 525 years ago they thought the world was flat. Crossing the Ocean was like going to the moon. Columbus had a vision, they were heroes. The tragedy that followed is not the point. Leave your anti colonial comments for another occasion.
you are incorrect, they knew the earth was round and also columbus was a big fat idiot, they knew the circumference of the earth was 22000 leagues and they knew Japan was 9000 leagues to the East yet Columbus argued that it is 2000 leagues to the West, which makes no fuking sense what so ever yet here is this idiot and also you should know to his dying day he believed he discovered a new route to Asia but rather he came to what is todays Cuba and he never came to any of the Americas and never even understood that it was a whole different continent and that he is not in Asia, so I have no clue what vision are you talking about? And I don't see how the tragedy is not the point on the island he arrived 3 million people lived yet by the time he left there were only 50,000 left AND THIS IS ONE ISLAND ONLY, Columbus and his many killed millions of people in brutal and torturous manner and that was his intention from the moment he saw them, his original thoughts where that these people are perfect for slaves and that he can easily force his will upon them, they didn't have any weapons and in his own words he said: " I can conquer them all with 50 men". His immediate thoughts were of the riches these people would bring him as slaves. THIS MAN WAS AN EXCUSE OF A HUMAN BEING, KILLED AND TORTURED MILLIONS OF PEOPLE, SINGLE HANDEDLY AND THAT WAS HIS ORIGINAL INTENTION!!!!!!!!! Also he was dumb as fuck when it came geography and naval travel.
I've always knew of it. I thought it was a classical piece from a couple of hundred years ago. I only found out what it was called from an Insta reel and I'm really glad I did.
@@vladapproximy9869 Overglorified moments that include a lot of greed, abuse of power, killing, slavery, and sickness. Colonialist mindset is still prevalent in many European heads. It's a great and powerful song though
My God it took me about 12 years to finally find this song , thankfully I'm not disappointed. Thanks to the gentleman who commented on the Facebook comment section about this song.
Myself searched it for 3 straight years just a weak before I asked on Facebook where this music was attached to a particular video and finally found it
you have truly faced hardship....12 years trying to find a massively popular and well known main soundtrack theme from a well known film! You deserve a medal from the UN for triumphing over adversity!
@@USCFlash the film was released almost a decade before I was born, I'm not from America neither did the film win a whole lot of Academy awards, so it wasn't the most popular film in my part of the World, therefore I do think finding the song is an achievement:)

Someone could make a documentary about my search for this song (featuring the same song as theme of course). Took me well over an hour. Tried various search terms without any luck and ended up in some weird places reading about Arcana and Yamaha DX7's. I had lost hope by the time I accidentally stumbled across a reddit thread on Blade Runner. The rest is history.
I had listen this music when i had nokia mobile, where i get the song through bluetooth, i liked it , since i dont know the name of the music, so it took me 8 years to find the music

Just heard the sad news of his passing, come straight forward to hear this masterpiece. Rest in peace. Condolences to his family and friend, admirers. From Portugal
How long can you take to find a song, I mean I just asked someone who knew the name of the song, and they didn’t but they told me the artists name, and I just heard part of most of his songs and got it, it’s not so hard. If you know the artist then your done
Rodrigo Barreiro Well I just haven't thought that much about it. Just heard it several times as a kid and really loved it, the chorus remained as a vague but nice memory. When I stumbled on this video, it just clicked and the full memory of the song emerged. That's it !
Been looking for this song for over 9 years, I had no idea what the title was, finally found it via search… can’t believe not once did RU-vid recommend this masterpiece
I'm cryingn, i know this song from my grandma's house, she had it on CD. she passed away 10 years ago, today it was played on the radio, i got goosebumps and teary eyes immediately 😭❤️
@@N-6i this song is from a movie called Conquest of Paradise, its about Columbus and his search for India and stumbling on America, in some ways misleading, he definitely wasn't the first one to figure out about the way west, but nobody was sure that there was any land in between though. As for the Lyrics, you can probably find them by googling this song
RIP to the legend of the composition that you were! The world is currently suffering a tremendous loss! What other genius could replace you?? Go in peace Vangelis and know that you are immortal by the works you left us and that we will continue to pass on to our descendants! RIP the artist! 🥺🥺🔥🔥
This song was used for both the funerals of both my grandma's and I must say it's such a beautiful and powerful song. Before both funerals I knew this song, but now it just brings me tears every time.
24 years of searching I finally found this song. I was a little child when I heard this on tv. And heard this song too much in my dreams. Finally finally I found it. RIP Vangelis. I really love your song…
Freewill people after puberty need sugar which they use game to steal from various sources like bees, suger honey etc from the earth, people of faith get the sugar from Allah for example sweetness of faith that only Allah can provide
The very first live show I ever attended to, in the age of 5, was a show of Vangelis Papathanassiou and I really feel blessed about it because his immortal music opened my mind in such a young age & made me a better person. Thank you Vangelis... Rest In Peace..Ευχαριστώ!
When I was a child, I always thought how I would feel the day the great Vangelis leaves the world. Well, this is the day and it's truly devastating. His music cheered me up in my darkest days and gave me hope for the future. It gave me a meaning in life. But not just that; It was his music that inspired me to become an aerospace engineer. So the very career I have, is because of him. I requested a day off of work today in his honor.
@@renemensing8249 Usually you hear 1 or 2 masterpieces by a great musician. But almost EVERY piece he composed sounded like a masterpiece to me. Strangely, my favorite Vangelis album is Direct. I found every soundtrack awesome and thought-provoking. To me he really was the Mozart of electronic music. Thank you for sharing your thought!
This song will never die , I came from time to time to listen to it but this time I'm leaving a comment so if someone like it I will be back to listen ❤
it IS a mysterious thing, a composer, isn't it. I too have always been puzzled by this strange wonder, how a person can take those few notes that exist, and use them as the building bricks to make unvisible, impalpable creations of beauty
