We Are in Unchartered Financial Waters! every day we encounter challenges that have become the new standard. Although we previously perceived it as a crisis, we now acknowledge it as the new normal and must adapt accordingly. Given the current economic difficulties that the country is experiencing in 2024, how can we enhance our earnings during this period of adjustment? I cannot let my $680,000 savings vanish after putting in so much effort to accumulate them.
Keeping some gold is usually a wise decision. You would be better off keeping away from equities for a bit or, even better, seeking advice from an expert given the current market conditions and everything that is at risk with the current economy.
You have a very valid point, I started investing on my own and for a long time, the market was really ripping me off. I decided to hire a CFA, even though I was skeptical at first, and I beat the market by more than 9%. I thought it was a fluke until it happened two years in a row, and so I’ve been sticking to investing via an analyst.
My CFA ’ANGELA LYNN SCHILLING’ , a renowned figure in her line of work. I recommend researching her credentials further. She has many years of experience and is a valuable resource for anyone looking to navigate the financial market.
Thank you for saving me hours of back and forth investigation into the markets. I simply copied and pasted her full name into my browser, and her website came up first in search results. She looks flawless.
I would like to get started investing with Vanguard. I’m 67 years old not 37. I would like to invest in an index fund. Taking my age into consideration I’m looking for some direction.
Yep. You buy cheap ETFs, hold it until you have $3K or more in value. You sell it and buy into a mutual fund. From then on, you can buy fractional shares on that mutual fund.
Once I purchase the 3000$ minimum amount of VTSAX, can I then buy fractional shares or does vangaurd require whole share purchases? Thanks for all you do!
1 major problem: Most beginners do not have $1,000 to $3,000 to invest into these index mutual funds. Therefore they are not beginner friendly. Now Vanguard ETFs through M1 Finance or SoFi IRA are great. 100% into VTI or VOO, with dividends reinvested, until you reach $10k. Once reaching $10k then transfer to a Vanguard IRA. Invest 80% into VTSAX and 20% into VTIAX.
Thank you so much for this informative video. Question though… Do you reinvest your dividends? Do you have to pay taxes on your dividends? Or shall I say your returns? Or do you not have to pay taxes unless you take them out?
I have a question: if someone is not living in the US, how can he transfer money to his vanguard investment acc. Second, can he invest in the vanguard retirement investment fund?
if anybody has social security # in USA , can invest in US firms. foreigners have special investment portfolio because of foreign exchange laws and irs . all investment companies in USA are legally bound with IRS . same reason , past defaulters of irs cannot invest without irs clearence .
I just want to invest and leave it. Add Money when I can. Which do you suggest? Also, can you have a Beneficiary on your investments? This was so informative. I took notes on how to start and add money I appreciate the steps. Thank you
Hello, I came across your comment and was looking to do the same. What did you end up doing? I want to invest as well and leave it, adding money when I can. Thanks
Hi Tae, thank you for the contents. It is not easy to produce them. One question here, I am a Malaysian citizen. Could you enlighten the way to buy VTSAX as a Malaysian?
Hello, I am brand new to investing. Thank you so much for this video! Do you have a video on how you manage your investments once they are set up. For example, do you keep an eye on the market daily, do you check quarterly to ensure you still want to keep your portfolio in the same division? Thank you!
I never knew I was a Bogle Head. I did dabble in Doge Coin and some individual stocks. Definitely not going to make the same mistakes but if you like risk. I feel if you don’t mind the risk then individual stocks isn’t so bad as long as you know you can lose some if not all of it.
I have been watching a lot of your videos and love them. I invest in vanguard through my employment and my question is my portfolio I have invested in these are the percentages good or should have them differently. 30% VSMAX 30%VIGAX 15%VSGAX 15%VBIAX 10%VVIAX is this a good percentage to distribute or should I redistribute these percentages I'm 41 going on 42 I just started investing 3 years ago. I just want to know if these are good.
