The Vanguard Playerbase has an incredibly creative and diverse ability to build decks and come up with amazing strategies. If only the Bushiroad RnD team wasn't the complete opposite.
Raging Form player here! My secret to success, although extremely risky, was running 12 crit 4 draw pg. I won 7 out of the 10 games, and 2 of the losses were to the God level Hammsuke player who placed 1st. I unfortunately never got to use full combo, but that didn’t matter overall because my crits were pushing my opponents to high damage early, to the point where most of my games ended on turn 4. These were my matchups: Round 1 Gurguit W Round 2 The X W Round 3 OTT Witches W Round 4 Hammsuke L Round 5 Malkuth L (funny enough, I played more crits because of this matchup, but still lost lol although g assisting and not having my rideline set me back) Round 6 Nightrose W Round 7 Glendios W Top 8 Gurguit W Hammsuke L Nightrose W Third place 🥉 I think my only way to beat that Hammsuke player specifically would be for me to use full combo, but I never had the pieces. That dude went 10-0 👀
shiranui premium player who won houston here, you are much better than 50% to open crest. If you hard mulligan for it, and also use seiengeki and g assist your odds of seeing crest are much higher. The v promo and correct mulligan strategy brings your odds up to something like 80% and its like 90% if you open two promos in starting hand
for mulligan strategy i put back any card that isnt oboro or seiengeki if i dont have a crest maker in opening hand, aiming to be able to do g-assist and seiengeki together if i dont find it
i believe i have answered all these questions in the video on my channel, but crest solves the main weakness of the deck by improving the rearguard swings
without crest nubatama is a weird jank deck that wins off the strength of discard and guard restrict but with crest it gains a very potent level of scaling aggression that compliments the rest of the deck
As someone who played tri format I can see myself playing Weiss or SVE in these events because, as Solemn so elegantly put... fuck that. I had fun playing Jet in V can't lie. But it just sucked.

decklog hasnt worked for me since this morning either lol. on the note of luard and shiranui, they both were recently hit with restrictions. idk what got hit for shiranui since i dont play it but cell gaon got choice restricted for luard and may have some effect on its results going forawrd, to what degree i do not know. just thought it was worth mentioning.
