Vanilla Buttercream

Smooth and fluffy vanilla buttercream.
What you need
Stand mixer, bowl and paddle
Spatula
Cutting board and knife
1/4 tsp. and 1 Tbsp measuring spoons
Ingredients
1 lb. room temperature butter
840 g. powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla bean caviar
1 Tbsp vanilla extract
- Add butter and vanilla bean to mixer bowl and mix until well combined (about 30 seconds)
- Keeping mixer on low speed add 1 cup sugar
- Once ingredients are combined add vanilla extract and mix well
- Continue to add sugar 1 cup at a time until all ingredients are combined and the bottom of mixer bowl is free of dry sugar
- Stop mixer and remove bowl then scrap down sides and the bottom of the bowl well
- return bowl and paddle to mixer and mix on high (start on low and work up to full speed) until frosting lightens in color and is fluffed to your desired consistency
- store in air tight container at room temperature if using within 2 days , in refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for up to 3 months

Do not confuse vanilla bean seeds with vanilla bean paste. They are two very different products.
