Got a question, so you clone the train 1 block forward right? How do u get rid of the train that was previously cloned? I've done the cloning bits but it seems to leave a train behind from the train, can you help?
Thank you very much! I hope as well but the glitchy view is because i'm trying to clone the train at the sime time the player is teleported. Only a single unsynchronized tick creates this problem.
Gshn28 You're absolutely welcome. The circuitry for that system is too complex for me to even get my head around it. I hope that Mojang issue things such as programmable solid structures in the next update so that entire structures can be manipulated by a single command block, rather than individual blocks.
I'm currently making something similar where the train is cloned to a armor stand repeatedly and the armor stand is teleported either forwards or backwards. Then, two other armor stands on either side of the train is teleported either forwards or backwards (depending on the direction the train is going) and cloning air to them to get rid of extra blocks left behind. I only have one question. How did you teleport players only in the train? I'm using scoreboards to detect when the player goes on certain blocks when boarding the train to teleport only players with a score of 1 for example. Otherwise, very very cool video! I've watched this in the past and was amazed when I wasn't the brightest on redstone and command block! Really awesome stuff! 👍 🚇
Hum, that's really similar to my Custom transport vehicles system. To teleport the players inside the train, i use the execute with the dx,dy and dz selectors.. Are you using some scoreboard to keep track of the direction? My commands are usually like this: /execute @e[name=vehicle,score_direction_min=1,score_direction=1] ~-X ~-Y ~-Z tp @e[dx=A,dy=B,dz=C] ~ ~ ~1 where the ~-X ~-Y ~-Z is to execute the command in the least X, Y and Z values corner of the vehicle and the dx=A,dy=B,dz=C is the vehicle dimensions basically... The commands need to be executed in that corner because the dx,dy,dz selectors only work with positive values. Also you won't need an score to keep track the players who board the train with this method '-' You also can simply clone an air layer behind the train model instead of cloning air speratedly '-' I hope that helps

I am going to make a city with a working train system using Command blocks but I don't use that kind of rail design I don't have a wood connected side by side of the track so look at my video tomorrow to see what it's look like What is the bogie of that train looks like? It was kinda of luck and lag while recording haha. Someitmes the train syncs and sometimes don't. About the moving inside the train, in this minecraft version the teleport command used to move the player relative to itself and not the train. Now you'd need to use /execute commands to achieve the same effect
Alfo use /execute @a ~ ~ ~ tp @a ~ ~ ~1 PS: You may have to move the 1 to the first coordinate depending in which axis your train is moving on, you may also need it to be negative depending on direction
I'm thinking of making this and I know that this video was posted a year ago but you could do this with like 10 command blocks and have it teleport a no AI zombie while executing the clone command in the zombies location and this would reduce the amount a commands greatly but great creation anyway! (I assume that you used mcedit to place all of those otherwise it would have taken pretty long :p lol)

I made the mistake of making the command blocks inside the train. It only required two command blocks but when I activated the lever, it cloned the activated lever which then infinetly powered the clone command, making it go at incredible speed and incredible lag

Hum no. Not in the train that is moving. But you can place blocks in the train model underneath the first station.. That is the train the clone command use..

gshhn28? what is the newest version that you made for this it dose not say on the download. i want to ride it and i,m only a beginner with command block so i can place this in my world the only copy thing i did was to freeze chickens in a block of ice but i cant add 10 chickens or it will just be bucks DX
I think I made this in 1.8. I'm not sure. Anyway, this system is basically a line of command blocks under the rails using /clone to place a train model. It also eleports all the players inside it. I'v emade other commands like the Custom transport vehicles that allows you to make your own models
This system in particular uses a lot fo command blocks because they're directly under the rails, but they basically are just /clone to place the train model and /tp to teleport all entities inside it.. If you want to use something similar, you can try my custom transport vehicles and make your own subway '-'

Hum. Yeah, but it may harder to get those TPs and vehicle movement synchronized while turning or taking off and landings... Also, for some reason vehicles on the surface seems to run slower (and glitchier) compared to underground ones...

Under the first station, there's a lever with a commandblock saying "Activate the train" Use this teleport: /tp 47 54 -26 180 0 You should see a trapdoor leading to the redstone system. Sorry that i didn't made this clear in the video...You're not the first one that had this problem '-'
Which minecraft version are you using? This was made in a snapshot version, so it might be bugged now... Did you started the the train with the lever under the first station?
Claire Lop Hum.. i think it should be working in the 1.8 version. I've tested it and it was running as usual (except for the doors that are opening the wrong blocks) Sometimes the game lags as it needs to work with all those clone commands and then it looks like the train has stopped or the game has crashed... Edit: I've tested it again and at the last station the trains stops working for me as well... I don't remeber which snapshot i tried. Maybe i'll work on a 2nd version later.

Tommy Lee yeah i've noticed that as well... This is beacause the minecarts timing is'nt correct anymore...when i built this the snapshot would increase the minecart's max speed... Anyway, you can build this wiothout minecarts and only use repeaters...
Yeah.. I've made a second version later with repeaters instead of minecarts... The original idea was a ton of stacked commandblocks minecarts with setblock commands (before we had the /clone command). That's why it ended like that '-'

Go to these coords: 34 56 -37 then there is - under the buffers - a trapdoor. There is a lever that activates the train. (or you can send any redstone signal in the station delayers)

the clone command needs 3 sets of X Y Z coordinates The first two are the clone model and the third one sets where it's going to be placed.. In this map in particular, the train model was fixed, so i used non relative coordinates and the third coordinate was relative to the commandblock's position.. '-'
Opmcxboxkid Search for a folder called %appdata% then go to roaming -> .minecraft -> saves and then place the map folder (extract it from the .RAR file).
