What made this video great was it’s simplicity, no big treks, no grand installations, no majestic vistas, just a day in the life of Jake in his van. Thank you for the video Jake, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great seeing you enjoying life on the road. It is good to catch up with you, the last few months have been difficult ones for me but life goes on. Thanks for the book recommendation.
Nice one Jake, great editing and great sounds (as usual). I always look forward to your videos, the Lake District can be a wet and windy old place, but sometimes it is sunny and even more stunningly beautiful. You gotta try going a little bit earlier in the year. Looking forward to your next video,
Great day in the life video Jake. Don’t know how you slept by the river I’d have been up all night needing a pee! We stay on the aire at Ambo a fair bit because there’s walks in all directions and you can’t complain for £20 right in the National (car) Park. Theres also a big field open behind in the summer and in the winter it’s usually quite when the sun goes down on the hard standings 👍🏼🚐
Class mate. Great to see you getting on so well since the mob. Also given me a class idea for our channel. 24 hours in my car camper, with a puppy, stranded in Morocco… title needs some work 😅
I just wanted to say that I appreciate the effort - basic things like at 1:44 you run past a camera that you must have put there yourself, not to mention the multiple angles in the first minute or so! Not even going to mention all the other changes of camera angle throughout the rest of the video that would have taken a lot of effort 😉
I love OS maps. If we are planning an adventure like touring the Shetland Islands I always get a full set of OS maps as soon as the ferry is booked and start looking for walks, parking places, beaches etc. I'm lucky that my daughter teaches at a school and they sometimes have a clear out of their maps so I get first dibs. I've also got the OS app for about £20 a year for last minute trips. It's really good and you can download and print them if needed.
I love that Tony! Can’t beat a paper map! Lucky man! Landed on your feet there haha! Oh love that app! Only downloaded it the other day but works a treat don’t it! 🤘
Make you own trays from some leftover ply. You can make to fit perfectly were you want to store them. Mash with Kiev? It's virtually illegal to eat Kievs without chips and you've got no excuse as you can do oven chips (and save on the gas used for cooking the taters as the oven is on anyway).
How have you found civvy street since leaving the Army? I joined the RAF as a 16 year old (quite a while ago) and left after serving for around 6 years. I can clearly remember Struggling for the next few years adjusting to life outside the RAF, but unlike yourself I continued my trade albeit for a private employer. Where ever this journey takes you I wish you the best of luck Jake.
Sorry my friend I'm late coming into your journey and new subscriber but can you give me a little insight to how your military experience makes you who you are ? That's a deep question I know but you put yourself out there. Where do you think your life was going without army training? I swear I'm not a dik but curious
Really enjoyed following your travels and grow in your RU-vid channel. Can I ask tho what does it take to put captions on the video? I find them really useful. Thanks man
@@JakesJourneyMate I know you tap the cc I use it all the time I find once I got used to having the subtitles on weirdly I enjoy what I'm watching more and follow the story better however when I watched your video I'm sure it said they were unavailable just looked now and there on so I'll watch again cheers for the reply take care

@@JakesJourneyMate The music portfolio is astounding but there’s nothing in the wedding file to show them your expertise? Any other links as this is a bit like handing someone an empty bag.
