Nice job - and a different approach from the other micro-builds that makes it quite useful for two at the table. The external access to the water plus the alarm really are inspirational. Congrats on thinking around the box - GRIN!
this is something ive been wanting to make. using it on vacation times but also works as everyday car when goin to work when you dont wanna own 2 cars (camper van/trailer) while living in a apartment
Ingenious... bluddy good job. Good to see a rooftop box, makes total sense. Don't understand why other van conversions don't use a rooftop box. Weldone.... looks good
Ah Mate. Nice vid, nice van. One thing you Have to do is find yourself some shallower meat crates and drop your bed/couches for head height. It will TOTALLY change your experience. I bought a MB VANEO in Georgia in 2019 and toured in it. As a Tandem Paraglider pilot, it afforded me the independence I needed. I also had my bed too high to sit on and consequently lay on the bed more. Not great for the back. Once I dropped the bed for headspace I could sit and work on my computer, or watch a movie. I like that roof box too. With a little ingenuity, that could easily be a single bed.
@@akiwiinswitzerland6214 No worries mate. Im definitely heading back to Georgia in spring. Will also buy another van. Possibly a little bigger this time, although a tiny truck camper on a Suzuki Carry 4x4 sounds fun. An UAZ Buhanka would take the cake. Where could I send some pics of my van?
Hi friends. 🤠 Absolutely wonderful precise design and insane end result. This was the best version of the microcar design I've seen. Last Friday, I bought a Peugeot Partner 2014, a 1.4l diesel van without rear windows and I am absolutely crazy and impatient to start turning it into a motorhome. I have already dismantled the walls of the back room, and the floor from old cardboard. Now I'm going to start installing the laminate floor. and then I start carefully planning the interior. I would really like to see a video of how you did it all. What are the dimensions of the back of your car? Length + width + height ? Let's be in touch. Good luck! 🚀
Wow, that's awesome. Great use of the space. It looked so big too, until you sat in it and gave us a visual to its actual size in there. What about your clothes and such?
Thanks for your positive comments. We just take two small backpacks with our clothes in them, then transfer them to the front seats which turns into our wardrobe. We have also place above the driver and passenger headspace where we can store Jackets and clothes.
Here YOU have the Problem s of All VAN - LIFERs have, the daily ...waste, the Parking-Stress , the Best SPOT now.....the goverment / the POLICE, ...some crazy people ...etc. ......ame in a van❗️👍❗️❣️❗️👍❗️
LOOOOOVE it!! Gaggin for a van - wish I was handy enough to tackle a self build - don't know anything about electrics, plumbing, insulating ....so it goes on :-( Anyhoo - love it.
One of the best conversions I've seen. And does not look that complex to do like some I saw :) Edit: after watching build video...I see it is really complex :D
Remarkable use of this tiny space. Very well made. Love the cabinets! I see a dock floating in the lake. Was it warm enough to swim in that lake? Such beautiful scenery! Are these campgrounds free in Switzerland? Do you get any power, showers, toilets, water, trash bins at campgrounds?
great setup, do you have any trouble finding camp spots in Switzerland? we hope to get back there again in the future. a long way from Australia, at the moment.
Great wee motorhome can do what a big one can do, can go places that big motorhomes can go like car parks. I enjoy my wee jill which is 2016 citron small van. Did you do conversion yourself ? Happy days ahead and northern ireland is lovely to visit 😀
Thanks for sharing the details of your MicroVan. I'm interested in where you got the table attachment extrusions (I'm In France so would appreciate a European supplier)?
Hallo.
No heating? I'm thinking of copying you van with a few upgrades though. The van would need heating as both uk and portugal can get cold in winter. Is 13ah power pack really enough for you? A 50ah battery wasn't even enough for me. Really like the basic design but not sure about flip up bed I think sliding is better.
What a waste of space to have that HUGE space 4the circuit brakers. I'd rearrange/replace the cupboard doors to have hanging space on one side. I'd change the HUGE Chest fridge 4a smaller front-opening one, partition off one side 4a cassette toilet. I like the RED though, and the awning. A pop-top 4 🧍♂️ standing space would really make it more comfortable when stuck indoors.
