Hi both, Gary absolutely loved hearing about the car museum, I think he wants to go now!! 🤣 I love those post box covers as well, they are so cute and it's like secretive art, like a crocheting Banksy or something!! So glad you got the daughter for the poor guy in the BMW, was funny when you said there was about 6 people with a walking stick 🤣 Thanks for updating Park 4 Night, we use it all the time and also think we should do some reviews, I think you were spot on, it was a pretty location but way too noisy! We're really looking forward to seeing you do Scotland, our grandson is in Inverness and we are doing a flying visit in May ♥ Thanks for another great vlog, loads of cost saving ideas in there as well. Lots of love Julia and Gary Xx
Love the motor museum young Redders's , I'm old enough to have had many of the cars that are in there including a mark 1 and 2 Jaguar xj6 , mini Cooper and mini Metro . Think we'll do a trip down there . Many thanks , great vlog , love from the old Redders's .
Good evening and happy Easter ole Redders ! It really is worth a visit , loved the old Jags, all those switches on the dashboard … the Mini Cooper would be worth lots nowadays ! .. have a lovely Bank holiday , young Redders 🙂👌🙂
Absolutely love BOTW .My sister ,who sadly is know longer with us ,lived in Gloucester.I have so many beautiful memories walking around the Cotswold villages.Thank you ❤
I’m glad you enjoyed the visit to the motorhome museum. I worked for several years next door to it at the JLR design and development centre, so i was able to visit for free whenever i wanted because the museum is owned by JLR. Like readers i could walk around for hours and always find something new to look at. You’re in a beautiful part of the country and I’m blessed to live not too far from these places.
Hi Mike ! You certainly are very lucky, a beautiful part of the world ❤️ yes , could get lost in the museum so easily, seeing things that you didn’t notice before, some of the prototypes and SRVs were a sight to behold 😬 loved Del boys capri 😂
Two years ago we stayed at the Bourton Rovers Football club ground for a night - flat with a toilet available and the bar was open part of the time. Was £15 but now S for S says £20! Easy walk into Bourton though. Ann
My first car was a Triumph Herald 1200, ACJ289B. Bought for a tenner, sold for a tenner. Love Bourton. Always a popular stop for an ice cream when out on the GT750s when visiting a mate in Milton under Wychwood...
Great again an nice you show the good an bad you can stop on the football club in burton there’s a temp holiday site aswell in summer we go on great channel guys
Been to BOW so many times.Full of kids in the summer having a paddle.Us big kids sit on the side and dangle our feet on hot days. I would have paid the money and stayed on the big car park.❤
It really is a lovely place isn’t it ! Sadly we had to make roads in to our return home otherwise we could’ve certainly spent more time , maybe even a paddle ! X
We really enjoy all your vids, picking up tips from you to try the more “budget” style of touring, like everyone we’ve been finding campsites getting to expensive, combined with the cost of living it’s been limiting our time away. So thanks, mainly to you we’ve plucked up some courage and trying it a similar way, Northumberland here we come . Once again thank you so much for all the effort you put in to creating these great videos 👍
Another amazing vlog guys. Bourton on the Water is an incredible place to visit. As a youngster often visited for a pint and fish and chips. The lay by is definitely a non starter fir us😂. Popular with a certain kind of night time activity no doubt!!😂 Stay clear !! Take care guys!! Sid and Nicola.
Don’t forget to come and visit Nantwich in Cheshire if you haven’t already. It’s a wonderful town full of individual shops, lots of old pubs and good restaurants & loads of history. Coms and say hello too. Happy travels
Hi guys, got up this morning and had nothing planned, but after watching your latest we went to gaydon to the motor museum. Spent six hours there and loved it. Feeling guilty as we only live 45 minutes a at. Thanks for the recommendation redders 👍
Bourton on the water is beautiful, looked very quiet compared to September when we were there. The nearby village of Higher and lower Slaughter are even more beautiful, did you visit them ?
Hi Phil, we drove through, as we were heading towards home, Moreton in the Marsh was very busy too, we did enjoy Bourton on the water tho… we will certainly be returning to catch the other places ❤️👍
Great end to your trip. Have always wanted to look around Bourton on the water. My first car was Talbot Sunbeam, not very old I know. Loof forward to your Scotland trip.
Hi guys My first car was a 1977 Vauxhall cavalier 1.8 petrol with 200 000 miles on the clock I had it for 2 years spending £200 ish on both mot,s I hand painted it in its original powder blue . It looked not too bad
Loved the uk trip we are doing a 11 day trip from our base in Lincoln to Oxford then on to Cheltenham then over to wells next the sea stopping at pub stops and sites and after watching the vlog I think we’re going to brave some Park ups this year great channel guys looking forward to the Scotland trip 😊👍
Great vlog guys love BOTW, johns sister lives in Tewkesbury so a perfect opportunity for us to visit, weve been many times on the motorbike too and took a pinic and dangled our feet in the river when its been a nice day, and yes can get very busy xx ❤
Hi guys 😍 Bourton on the Water looked absolutely stunning ! 🤩 we need to go there at some point 😍 Redders looked like you had a ball in the motor museum 😃 Good idea to update the review on Park for Night wow that was a noisy layby !! Such a shame as it was quite a way from the road. Great video guys and can’t wait to see what you get up to in Bonnie Scotland 🏴 ! Xxx 😘
Great vlog. First car was a Morris traveller. Loved it. We have just purchased our second audecook pan. One for the house and one for the van. So glad you introduced us to them. Happy Easter Sunday xx
Two tips for Scotland visit Dunfermline the ancient capital of Scotland beautiful Abbey ruins of the palace birth place of Andrew Carnegie and the stunning pitencrieff park gifted to the city by Andrew Carnegie it’s situated just north of the river forth. Second tip don’t miss the east nuke of fife drive round the coast to St Andrews lots of beautiful fishing villages .
If anyone watching is a member of Boundless (travel organisation for civil servants, police, etc) you get free admission to that motoring museum. I don’t think I commented on the Coventry video (despite a name check!) but glad you enjoyed it, I lived there once upon a time and it does have a complex and interesting history.
Good video. Personally I would never advise laybys not in this day and age. Industrials estates, although often noisy with lorries, normally have security around during the night. As for the old boy in the car I think a lesson learnt if that was a dog with no window open. We spent years in the uk traveling the canals, by boat, and again by motorhome. Love um. Enjoy Scotland.
I grew up in the Cotswolds and in the summer Bourton is a lovely place albeit very busy spot to picnic by the river and the kids get to paddle but as you say it’s tourist prices, I thought the sweetie shop looked out of place with it’s decor compared to the gorgeous Cotswolds stone buildings.
I spent many a month in Moreton ( fire service college ) really pretty place , the shops were very similar , and yes the sweetie shop did seem a little out of place, lovely town for sure 💖
Srv, Stevie ray Vaughan was the first thing I thought of before you mentioned it, am I right in thinking the maestro never wore the rover badge ?, looking at some of them concept cars lol, you can see why they went out of business, as for the Cotswolds it has always been postcard lovely, so picturesque, as for being expensive the Cotswolds is a wealthy area, these Easter postbox knitted covers are all over baffins area of Portsmouth and look rather neat I must say, as for the noisy park up, you win some you lose some, we've all had it, and as you say it's all part of it, we've just come back from Exmouth and paid £11 a night beachfront parking and just except we will hear some traffic, anyway another enjoyable vlog keep them coming 👍.
Hi Stephen, thanks for watching and commenting, much appreciated 🙂 , the maestro as I recall was just British Leyland, and a mg hot hatch , ( turbo nutter ) 😂👌 Exmouth sounds a bargain ! Great price ❤️ love the Cotswolds , spent many a months in Moreton ( fire service college ) 🙂
British Leyland till 1986, and then the rover group 86 to 95, I only know this because i used to drive at times a maestro diesel car type van and I'm going to say it, it was brilliant no one could blow it up and we all gave it a good go lol, and everyone said it was so bad rover wouldn't even put a badge on it lol, saying that I'm glad things have moved on lol, I enjoy cars bikes etc and like a good look around automotive museum type things, still love a two stroke bike and smell, anyway got to go I'm feeling the urge to look through classic bikes for sale .
😂ah yes , the old company car / van… drive it like you stole it ! 😂🤭 the diesels were pretty bombproof , but quite an agricultural sound 😆.. love the old bikes too, but can’t beat the burble of a v8 👌
Pillarbox Yarnbombing. My manager said to me if it does not cause interference with use of the Pillarbox. I can allow it to remain. First car was a Renault 4 had it until failed 2nd MOT. As for layby park up's I look for one with trees separating motorhome from road it gives the distracted drivers something else to hit.
😂👌yarnbombing, love it ! Renault 4 … the gear stick in the dash board ? Quite a quirky design 🙂 and for sure a few trees separation is a good idea 👍 thanks for sharing 🙂
Correct people do think it's a typical English town. Problem is now the coach park is closed and there is nowhere for the coaches to park and the council don't want them to drop people off in the town. So there is a dispute going on as shop keeper need tourists including coach tours. Don't know what will happen.
@@redsgotravels the owners want to do something with the land it seems. Now the council are looking for somewhere else for coaches to park. Sad really.
Bourton on the water is an awesome place isn't seen this place in many a programmes!!👌🏻👍🏻 And again you have to bring up Lovehoney don't you hehe?? 😂 I'm assuming that you have agreed a deal with them then haha?? 😆😂
❤️ yes, I’m sure it would be xx our furry friends 🐩🐩 🐾🐾keep an ear out , but travelling solo no doubt adds a few more considerations 💖 hope you had a lovely Easter ❤️🙂
My very first car was a Ford Angular Hundred E it was. um, it was white and yellow and. have you? I you say you had a triumph Stag how? you change the radiator because of the overheating. It is well known for. bye for now.
Hi John, white and yellow must’ve looked grand for sure 👌, my stag has a larger rad, additional cooling modifications and is luckily doing fine ❤️ they did have a bit of a bad reputation 😬
