Tim could you had just bought a DC-DC Alternating charger to your DC batteries and always be charging when you’re driving the system you already have installed. And as for your rice cooker… if cooking at 400 watts or more, you are using that small inverter at 100% it will make an excellent seat warmer real quick.
Never had a problem with that inverter being overheated when cooking with a rice cooker! One thing that most people don't realize is that you have to upgrade your alternator to be able to handle such a high current that these EXPENSIVE DC-DC charger. If you don't, you will fry your alternator. Having the to replace the alternator ain't cheap abd eith current vehicle engine bay id fo tightly packed, it is lots of work even if you do it yourself. But it's your rig, and you can dig your own hole! 😉😁
