I'd say that model was out during the 90s..I bought like 4 pairs during the years. I got the first pair in 98. Some months ago, i bought two pairs of the new release
@@kennydelvechio well, this is a tough question..the design is totally different. The sole, the shoe tongue and the white stripe are not the same. The seam remind them..the quality back then was way better. The new version to me is way cooler than the other vans models. When it comes to wearability I don't really know. Many years have passed and the last model i bought was all torn out and falling in pieces and my parents threw them away hahah
Remember wearing és and some DC's were like that back in the 2000's. I like the knu skool, I own it...but I don't see the hype... how young are these kids hyping it up? (I'm 37) 😂
This shoe was originally launched in 1995 it was part of the Vans International Collection when Vans closed it's U.S. factories and moved them overseas. The Original Knu Skools were made with a combination of cup sole with eva mid sole called Off the Wall 2 and they were highly accepted by skaters and musicians. They were discountinued around 2001 with a revival and reintroduction in a limited edition of the original model in 2015 by Vans Japan. Then the vulcanized version of the Knu Skool, which is the one you present, hits the market and it's a total bomb! ❤
I used to skate back in the day im now 48 yr old & blew my knee with skateing so im out now will never skate again yeah i still cruise but no flips can efford to injure myself again but i love my chunk skate shoe im waering Globe RM3 AT the moment but when i saw these the other week i thought ok i need a pair of these so i bought the black & blue cw very nice & comfy vans done it once again 💯👍
if you find most vans uncomfortable try something with a cupsole instead of a vulc, i find them way more comfortable and supportive even when im not skating
This is a problem that I have with most vans. I usually have to get one size up because my foot doesn’t fit, but these are perfect because they fit my chunky foot.
I have a wide foot and usually get the 8.5 in vans cause they are narrow for me. Will I need to get a size 9 for these or should I be good with regular size? In other words do these run slightly bigger than normal vans?
Its actually been done before. Hence the "K"nu Skool. Back in the early 2000s it was all about PHAT skate shoes. Had some sick PHAT vans back in the day. The nu skool look was actually the skinnier canvas style we've seen more recently which became fashionable as as the indy scene came in after the metal/skater scene.
