Not as many, but still getting some out. Definitely solid shoe for PNW! Been feeling those PNW vibes in Southern California lately so happy to be able to put these to the test.
Yeah definitely a pricey Half Cab but honestly I feel like these will start to pop up on sale soon enough, doesn’t seem like a lot of people are buying for that price point
I just picked a pair up at ross for $37 I have multiple pairs of vans and these run a half size larger for me. I usually wear a 10 but these in a 9.5 fit the same.
Hi, fellow high instep guy here. Just got mines and that statement actually made me afraid, as I bought them straight from Vans website. And GTX footwear, specially sneakers featuring the tech, has a track record of fitting more snug than the base model. And it seems Vans took this into mind when designing the shoe because, even though they're GTX, they aren't that bad. I would also like to point out that not only these are my 1st pair of Skate Edition Half Cabs, but my 1st pair of Half Cabs overall. And I noticed that the Skate Editions for models featuring tongues now has straps on them, and they're always red. If the tongue was actually GTX engineered, it would be the same material as the upper. That way, you could actually walk in puddles with them. But the way these came about, I wouldn't recommend that. These are strictly water repellant. And going back to the fact that these are my 1st Skate Half Cabs, I'd like feedback from someone who owns regular Skate Half Cabs. Does the normal ones have the tongue done in the same way? Also, I'd like to point out that it seems your pair of Skate Half Cab GTX is rare, as the right pair has the Vans tag on the outside. Mines have the GTX tag on the outside, while the Vans tag is on the inside.
Are they actually breathable? And i heard that the material on the toebix is stiff and digs into your foot is this true, theres one pair left i can find in my size and its like 260 aud so i need to know before i buyyy
