Vans RV 10 Airplane Build, in this video I talk about all of the tools that I use or don't use and some of the setting that seem to work the best for me.
i guess im asking randomly but does anyone know a method to get back into an Instagram account? I stupidly forgot the login password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Lian Cassius Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes a while so I will reply here later with my results.
This was super helpful! I am about to purchase my tool kit for a 14 I just ordered. Looks like you went with the Isham kit. Are you happy with your purchase? Did you buy the whole RV-10 kit or piece meal it along the way?
Thank you for this detailed video of tools used. I am just about to start my empennage build and have most of these tools. What size/ which compressor did you use ?
I was originally using a small 12 Gallon compressor which was working fine for all of the tools required to build the plane. But it was very loud and if you want to use it for some higher end work (I also work on cars) or painting you will likely need something larger, I now have a 30 gallon stand up unit but what you really care about is the SCFM required by the tools and the capability of the compressor - mine is 5.3 SCFM
I purchased these from aircraft spruce - its called ITW DYKEM® CROSS-CHECKTM TORQUE SEAL - good for making sure you did the torque and also see if it moves. Cheers George
i hope vans kit uses metric fasteners so you don't have to use those SAE wrenches i saw there in the video. Please tell me those SAE wrenches are a mistake.
All of the US aircraft construction standards are AN and hence a higher standard SAE. Refer to AC 43.13-2B Aircraft Inspection, Repair & Alterations. Acceptable Methods, Techniques & Practices.
