The VanTop Moment 4 is a 4k action camera that can record in 4k 24fps and comes loaded with GoPro compatible accessories, a wireless remote control, a Kingston Class 10 32gb memory card, 2 batteries, and a VanTop backpack.
On my main channel, KevCentral, I feature a lot of Big Box Bikes and focus my cycling on mostly affordable bikes. Therefore, it is no surprise that over the past few years I've tried many cheap action cameras. One of the few reviews where I outright declared a product as terrible was on an action camera. I had given up on an affordable GoPro alternative. I was contacted by VanTop to review their camera. I didn't expect much and told them I used GoPro cameras. They sent the Moment 4k anyway.
As you can see in the review video. Overall, this is a useable camera for mountain bike action shots when paired with a gimbal. That was a surprise, because I have previously never been able to record in 4k using cheap action cameras. Consider me impressed with this camera for what it is. It is a 'useable' 4k camera for those on a budget. It isn't a GoPro or a replacement for better cameras. But it is useable, and the best I've seen under $85.
The good:
4k footage is free of stutter
Light weight
Lots of mounts
Kingston memory card
Chance to get a 64gb memory card for free
2x batteries
Sony TruDepth camera
The lacking areas:
4k is limited to 24fps
CamKing iPhone app doesn't support 4k
Battery life wasn't as advertised (though you get 2)
Electronic Image Stabilization doesn't work well without gimbal
Who this may be good for:
People on a budget that want an action camera, but can't spend a lot
Someone who wants a backup camera for cheap
A camera for projects that may destroy it. Save your good camera
Who it isn't good for:
Anyone that expects the best video and is willing to pay for it
If you never plan on buying a gimbal yet want smooth MTB shots
